Our fully self contained cottage is located between Carterton and Greytown, and is separate to the house. Built in late 2015, the double glazed cottage has a separate bedroom, with a pull out double bed(with a proper inner sprung mattress) in the lounge/living area. It has a full kitchen, heat pump, and washing machine. Our cottage is good for couples, and small families.

The space

We're on a small farm with cows, sheep, chickens, ducks and sometimes pigs, plus a couple of dogs-who are friendly and good with kids.
While we are rural, we're not far from the shops, supermarkets and restaurants.

Guest access

You're welcome to take a walk on the farm-just ask first so we can tell you the boundaries and any hazards. Many of the sheep are friendly and can be hand fed. We've got a trampoline and fort for the kids, chickens, ducks and 2 labradors who are happy to say 'hi'. The swimming pool is nearly warm enough!

Other things to note

We're currently bottle feeding 6 lambs and feeding calves also.

A wonderful stay surrounded by a beautiful farm with ducks, chicken, lamb and cows. Close to Carterton and Greytown with great views over the farm and hills. We had a lovely breakfast with homemade bread and farm fresh eggs. The place was perfect for our family of 3 and our toddler had a fantastic time getting to know all the farm animals.

What a wonderful farm stay we had in the most beautiful setting! The welcome given to us by Nicole's teenage sons was most appreciated and they were very patient and kind with our grandsons. The accomodation was light and spacious, comfortable and warm and well equipped. We took a four year old and six and a half year old boys and they spent every possible minute outside with the animals, and we all helped bottle feed little lambs, feeding the pigs, ducks and hens and played with the two beautiful dogs. We could look out the door and watch the boys play on the trampoline and fort and wander nearby in a very safe and interesting environment. The stay is between Greytown and Carterton so has any of your other needs very close by. Mt Bruce is a short trip away where we saw the white kiwi as well as other birds and animals. Well worth a visit. This stay was a huge success with all of us and we will return. Thank you Nicole, David and family.

Just a fantastic little farm at a quiet location, we stayed in a little cottage separate from the main house. Nicole and David were fantastic hosts and the breakfast provided was great (loved the cookies). There's some DVDs to watch on the TV (some old school movies like the Polar Express) and the place was really clean, with comfy beds and a nice kitchen. Nicole even let us have a go at bottle feeding the lambs at the farm. Overall just a fantastic 3 days here. Highly recommended!
