My feiend and I were met at the airport by the friendly caretaker who drove us to the house where our hire car was waiting. On the way to the house he pointed out various places of interest including some great cafes and restaurants. The house is lovely and cosy, well-furnished with basic supplies and very comfortable, with a pleasant garden setting looking out over Norfolk Pines. There are great views down to Cemetery Bay and Philip Island. We enjoyed total peace and quiet, gorgeous sunsets and birdsong most days. A very short drive to town cafes and shops and to historic Kingston and Emily Bay. A thoughtful touch....a mobile phone was also provided for the duration of our stay.

The Kentia Oasis house was lovely - we particularly enjoyed the deck with comfortable furniture and pleasant views. It is peaceful and restful, well equipped with good kitchen, nice bathrooms, good quality towels and linen etc.... a phone and Internet time is provided which is convenient - and we arranged a car through Robyn also from Eldoo hire - it was cheap and was waiting for us at the airport. The location is great - quiet but only a short drive to the shops and restaurants - having driven around the island we thought it was probably the pick of the locations. It is close to Kingston and Emily bay (a really lovely beach) and we were able to walk there to explore - the walk back was up a steep hill - but that's good exercise. Norfolk is peaceful and pretty and well worth a visit and the Kentia Oasis house was a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful holiday with this beautiful home as our base. Tanya met us at the airport and also had our hire car ready. Two of our party went with her in the people mover with some luggage so she was able to point out various shops and places of interest. The house is spacious with two large double bedrooms easily accommodating our party of 4 and is tastefully decorated. We were impressed with the quality and comfort of the furniture, linen, towels, beach towels and kitchenware. There’s a full kitchen and washing machine. The views from the large verandah over the bird rookery in the Norfolk Island Pines to the coast are lovely and we often enjoyed them, and the stunning sunsets, from the comfortable outdoor furniture. We also enjoyed sitting by the garden on the cool front verandah if the afternoon sun was too hot. Robyn also supplied a mobile phone for bookings and emergencies which we topped up on leaving. She also supplied a starter for the WiFi but unfortunately the signal was usually out of range or too weak at the house but there is a good signal just along the path which was enough to check emails. There’s a large TV which picks up most mainland free to air channels and with our HDMI cable we were able to play movies from our laptop. Robyn also provided some helpful notes on places to see and things to do, some binoculars to watch the birds nesting and lots of great books to read.

It's hard to accurately describe how absolutely wonderful this property is. The house and gardens are gorgeous and the view across the valley with the terns and noddys nesting in the pines is endlessly mesmerising. To wake up in the morning to the sound of the birds and sit on the balcony with a coffee and a book from the bookshelf is the perfect way to start a day in the most beautiful place on earth (in my humble opinion). The kitchen is full of good quality appliances, glassware, utensils, picnic and bbq equipment, a huge fridge and a walk in pantry. Lovely bathrooms, a walk in robe in the main bedroom, spa bath and cosy beds. The living space is comfortable and well laid out with a lounge space for relaxing and another with recliners and tv. The verandah has a bbq, lounges and a modern outdoor table and we had everything we needed to invite family around for an impressive bbq complete with candles and table settings. We've visited the island many times and could not be happier with our choice to stay here this visit, the quality of the property for the price is unbeatable.
