Ten minutes walk from Ballerup Station (25-29 minutes to Copenhagen Central Station/København H). Close to the forest and an ecological farm open to visitors. Kitchen-dining room and two bedrooms. Own entrance directly from the kitchen-dining room to the big Southern garden with small terrace and sandbox. Own bathroom, but to access it you have to pass through our dining room. Luckily we are really nice and sociable. Note: We have kids! And cat.
The apartment is situated on the ground level in the one end of an old, charming farm building. The farm is called ”Nygården” (New Farm) and has given the street, Nygårdsvej, its name. Where the farm used to be surrounded by fields, it is now situated in a heterogeneous, but quiet area in central Ballerup with a mix of old and new houses, terrace houses and 3-storey buildnings.
The house is driven as a commune. We are two families living together – all in all 3 grown ups and 4 kids. Except that access to the bathroom requires visitors to walk through our common space, the B&B apartment is isolated from the rest of the house. But should you bump into us on your way to the bathroom we are really nice and sociable people.
The door between the apartment and the rest of the house is with acoustic insulation, but when kids are home you will no doubt hear us. When the kids are in daycare and school and after 7PM there is usually peace in the house.
In the smallest bedroom there's a king size double bed. In the big bedroom there is a sofa which works as a one-man bed and an extra matress for the floor. In the kitchen-dining area there is a sofa which can be transformed to a double bed.
There are some toys, games and a guitar in the apartment that you are welcome to use.
The oven in the stove doesn't work, but there is a small table oven, you can use instead.
As a guest you can use the apartment (a kitchen/dining room and two bedrooms) and a bathroom. You will not be sharing the bathroom with anyone, but access to it requires you to either pass through our dining room and kitchen or walk outside the house to our front door - choose for yourself. Visitors are welcome to use the Southern end of the garden just outside the kitchen-dining area with a little intermistic terrace and a sandbox.
Interaction with guests
If you think something is missing in the apartment or if you miss particular information, please let us know - we are new in all this and want to do our best to adjust to our visitors' needs.
Other things to note
We have a nice and sociable cat, Mille (female). She normally doesn't stay in the apartment unless you invite her. Should she visit you without invitation please feel free to send her out.
You can rent bed linen and towels from us. It costs 40 DKR per person no matter the length of your stay (unless you want to change it during your stay; then it costs extra 40 DKR per person). Let us know in advance if you want to rent linen and towels; then we will send you a new price offer with the fee included, which you will have to accept.
You clean the apartment before departure. You can also ask us to do it and pay a fee of 300 DKR (we are not always able to do it, so ask!). If you would like us to clean after you, it should be agreed upon before arrival, and we send you a new price offer with the fee included, which you will then have to accept.
Basically we expect you to leave the apartment and the toilet/bathroom as you find it on arrival, ready for the next guests to move in.
