If you are trying to make your mind up between this place and another one don't bother, just stay here!!! Awesome for our four member family, kids 4 and 9 years old. A quick walk over the red bridge and you're at the train station or maybe an even shorter stroll to the golf driving range or second hand kids store. Heaps of food options and the neighbourhood is safe and quite. We will be back!!!!!

Gary and Yuko were the perfect hosts. They were efficient in communication, were flexible with our check-in times even meeting me at the train station and gave me privacy during my stay. Hasui House was just what I was looking for - a Japanese experience in Tokyo that was authentic, had heritage and value for money. It is a free standing house in Eastern Tokyo with 2 large bedrooms and 1 smaller room that could also be used as a single bedroom. Whilst the kitchen was small, it was all we needed. The highlight however was the bath - amazing! Thank you for a great stay!

This place is wonderful; it is the quintessential Japanese experience - particularly if you have been before and stayed in fairly sterile hotel environments. You feel like part of a community in this part of Tokyo, with the assistance and guidance from the hosts you can add dimensions that most people never get to experience when visiting Tokyo. Gary was very helpful in providing information and support in our lead up to the visit, when we arrived and when we left. You can't ask for more in an airbnb host than what you get at Hasui House!

This is an excellent place to stay. It is close to the metro for easy sight seeing and close to shops for necessities. The hosts are generous with their time and knowledge. We traveled with 2 kids, ages 8 & 5, and we were all comfortable here. We look forward to returning to Tokyo again and staying here. Staying here was a blast.

This is a fantastic place stay for those that want to experience how it's like to live in a traditional japanese house. Tastefully decorated and charming, you will quickly feel at home here. The japanese bathroom with tub is great and there's also a small kitchen for some basic cooking. The surrounding area feels very local with small cozy channels. There's a supermarket and metro (Kiba) few minutes walk away. Everything is very practical. We stayed for about one week with our 9 month old boy, and will never forget this cozy house. The hosts are very thoughtful and nice people, and our stay wouldn't have been the same without their help and tips. This was a very memorable stay for us and we give Hasui House a heartful recommendation!

We stayed with two adults and two children (5 and 8) at Hasui House and enjoyed every minute we spend here. Yuko and Gary were extremely helpful already before we arrived and throughout our stay, we got lots of good tips regarding transportation and tours in and out of Tokyo. Gary welcomed us the evening we arrived at the house and showed us everything. Yuko prepared a booklet with manuals for all appliances and a map with restaurants and shops nearby. The location of the house is great! Lots of small restaurants and Japanese Pubs very close, a big supermarekt and a nice cafe with great pastries within 2 min walking distance. Kiba Station is a 2 min walk away and everything is easy to reach from there. The house itself is a small gem and if you seek an authentic experience this house is perfect. The futons are very comfortable and the hot tub became our favourite after a busy day in Tokyo. The kitchen is small but fine. Everywhere in the house you find little treasures which show Gary's and Yuko's taste for antiques. We would love to come back to Hasui House on our next trip to Japan! Thank you again Yuko and Gary for your great hospitality! Vanessa, Arthur, Sophie and Finn

Hi, we are a family of 3. We love travelling and the precious memories made along the way. My husband, Gary loves Japanese culture especially art, history, antique collecting, zen gardens, hiking and exploring Tokyo on foot. My name is Yuko, I worked in the travel industry, both here in Japan and abroad for many years. Now, I have a small English school teaching children in Tokyo.
We are looking forward to meeting you and deepening your understanding of Japanese culture and helping you to have those special moments and experiences that will someday become your precious memories also.
