Beautiful house, very rustic (don't expect modern facilities) and charming. Perfect for large family or group, would happily return with family to enjoy the property in the summer to make best use of downstairs dining area and garden. Check in and out was seamless and friendly, with lots of advice on the local area. Village is beautiful, very quiet at this time of year but friendly. Great base for exploring the Tarn region.

Great family house. We had a lovely down to earth experience. The house was great and very well located in Lisle-sur-tarn. The service was wonderful. Please take advantage of the lovely backyard. You will almost feel a "local":)

Jean-Raymonds house is full of joyful holiday vibes; we really enjoyed our stay there! plenty of space, big rooms, a beautiful garden, all commodities you need are available in the house. All things needed when travelling with a baby/toddler are also available : baby bed, chair, play mat, changing mat...definitely recommend this place!

We just spent four weeks in Jean-Raymond’s delightful house and have only good things to say about it. First off, a special thank you to Patricia who met us right on time when we arrived and was quick to respond when we had any questions. There were only two of us, but the house would be perfect for 3 couples, it’s so large and roomy. All of the bedrooms are large, light, airy with big wardrobes and plenty of linens, towels, blankets (not that we needed them as there was a heatwave!), etc. The kitchen is very well equipped with a big table that would easily seat 6 to 8 people and more than enough plates, cutlery, etc. There is a separate formal dining room, which we never got around to using, a sweet little sitting-room opening onto a narrow balcony overlooking the garden, and downstairs a spacious, cooler, living area with a summer kitchen and another large dining-table which seats eight. Three sets of sliding doors open on to the pretty, fairly private, garden. There are two bathrooms (one is ensuite to one of the bedrooms and has a shower and basin) and two separate toilets (one on each of the floors that has a bedroom(s). The TV has French channels only, but the WIFI is quick and reliable and as far as we could tell unlimited as we used it quite a bit. Lisle-Sur-Tarn is a quiet town, with most of the activity centring around the town square. Don’t miss the market on Sunday morning. There are several bars (one that serves lunch all week and dinner on Friday and Saturday evening) and two excellent restaurants. Auberge du Lac is open for lunch most days but only for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. The food is delicious—around 22 euros for their menu, including a cheese course and the setting is a serene view of the lake. The other restaurant, Le Romauld, has 3 menus ranging from 21 to 35 euros. Once again, the food is delicious. We would particularly recommend the lamb sweetbreads and lamb shanks as well as the crème brulee with apples. The village bell adds a nice touch to the soundscape of bird calls and a simple carillion sometimes plays a tune. One of the best finds is the bakery just 5 meters from the front door of the house, run by Nadine and Laurent, a delightful couple. We’ll miss our daily chat in broken French and English. You have to try their tropezienne tart—to die for. For your supermarket supplies there is a medium-sized Intermarche at the Lake end of the village. For the full shopping experience, drive 10 minutes to Gaillac for the much bigger LeClerc supermarket, where you will be amazed at the choice of French cheeses, smallgoods and wines and anything else you might require. The surrounding region is dotted with lovely bastide villages (eg, Lautrec, Puycelci, and Corde-Sur-Ceil) – most only a thrity minute drive away. The train station...

Response from Jean-Raymond:
