Where you’ll be

Shizuoka, Japan

Surrounded by mountains and tea fields, Yado Nishimura sits in a peaceful valley where Japanese green tea has been cultivated for generations. The walking paths that connect nearby homes have existed for hundreds of years, evoking the atmosphere of a Ghibli film. In autumn, a rare morning mist called "kearashi" rises over the river like a drifting dragon. It’s a quiet, timeless place where nature and tradition live side by side.

What makes my home unique: a 250-Year-Old Farmhouse
I've been visiting this relative's house since I was a kid.A large house with various old things, where you can eat around the fireplace.Mountains and gardens viewed from the veranda.I thought this was the daily life of an old house. After inheriting this house, which had been left unattended for several years, many architects came to see the construction of the house. Many people told me that it was worth showing to more people, so I decided to use it as an inn. Some people are impressed by the world of Ghibli, and some people say it's the house that appeared in Kurosawa movies. A private house built in the era of "Berabo" (NHK Taiga Drama). In America, it was the time of the Civil War.I think it's great that it has survived to this day. It took a long time to make the house earthquake-resistant and restore it to its Edo period form, but I have no regrets. I believe that many people from all over the world will visit, stay, and enjoy the space that has been cultivated for 250 years.
