Lounge/kitchen & bathroom downstairs. Steep winding staircase leads to mezzanine bedroom with low sloping ceiling. Mind your head, you can't stand upright. This space might not suit people with knee or back problems. Attached to house but self-contained. WiFi, TV & Netflix.
This little apartment is in the suburbs but you feel like you are in the countryside. 20 minutes to city (off peak), close to buses, take the 309. 15 minute walk to shops and cafes, off-street parking, A short walk leads to Mangere Mountain with its stunning views. You can use our bikes to explore Ambury farm which adjoins the property and connects to the Watercare Coastal Walkway with its abundance of birdlife. Also explore the archaeological sites at the Otuataua Stonefields. The house is down a driveway, away from the road, and the flatlet's downstairs window looks onto a garden and an orchard. In front of the house are paddocks with sheep, cows and horses. We will provide you with tea coffee, the basics for breakfast for the first morning and sometimes fruit from the orchard, depending on the season.
Guests have their own completely self-contained space. People who are interested in tiny house living would appreciate this design. The area is divided into a small downstairs lounge, kitchen combined, and a little bathroom. (Shower, loo, hand basin.) The cosy, carpeted bedroom is in the mezzanine area which is accessed via a fairly steep winding stair case. Guests have access to the garden, the adjoining farm, the hammock, the orchard, and their off street parking is just outside the unit.

You will have complete privacy in your self contained unit but we will be available to help you in anyway possible!

There is plenty of storage - two chests of drawers, a hanging rail, plus under-stair storage.
From May 1 - Jun 30, 2018 the minimum stay is 30 nights.
We are a friendly and welcoming couple who have lived in the area for 20 years and have plenty of local knowledge. Rose is an art teacher at a nearby high school and Richard is self-employed. We have two grown-up children who sometimes come to stay. We would be happy to assist in any way we can to ensure that your stay is a pleasant and memorable one.
