Wonderful place! I spent more time looking out at the green hills than the sea. Lucky the dog kept me company. Easy 5 min walk down to the square and beach. And I enjoyed the stairs coming back up for a bit of exercise. JoAnn even arranged my airport transport. Cant wait to stay here again!!!

Casita Sol was the perfect way to start your day and end your night. The balcony has absolutely breathtaking views overlooking Sayulita. The casita had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The private pool is stunning and took all our stress away. The walk up to the casita from town is about 5 minutes. It is steep but very manageable. It just means that you've earned another taco & margarita for later :) The steps are definitely worth the view! P.s. If a black bird with red and yellow on its head keeps pecking at the glass windows in the kitchen/living room, simply open any window and he will most likely stop :) He is quite the character. Kept us company for 5 days.

Response from Jo-Ann:
That darn wood pecker has been pecking on too many pains of glass I think, as he pecks at the glass window in my kitchen too. At first it scared the heck out of me, now I just run into the kitchen waving my arms, and off he goes. He is entertaining, to say the least hope the remainder of the stay in Vallarta was great for you! Come stay with us again soon!! JoAnn

Jo Ann's place is picturesque! The sweeping views of the village, ocean and greenery is something made of dreams! Waking up each day in this casita is worth it in itself! The casita was safe, clean, fully stocked with everything you need, very private, and the access to the palapa and beautiful pool was wonderful. It feels like you are at a mini resort. The location was perfect because you are tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the plaza but really close enough to go down to the town to the beach, to eat, or just to grab something at the store. The walk to the plaza is super close and convenient. The hill is actually not that bad at all. We would hop down to town and back up several times a day without feeling like it was a hassle to go back to the casa or out to town. Joann is the quintessential hostess. She is kind, welcoming, and so helpful. She was quick to answer any questions, provide suggestions, and helped us with our various needs! We would recommend/ return to this place in a heartbeat!

The casita was nice - a little tough to find at first, but it was close enough to town that it's easy to walk to but set back enough that you aren't bothered by the hustle and bustle of the streets. Our biggest issue was the noise level. There was constant construction on two hotels nearby. The views were excellent, but being on the patio wasn't enjoyable because of the all-day construction. JoAnn was very kind and checked in on us. The casita was clean and the wifi worked great.

Response from Jo-Ann:
Yes there is construction all over Sayulita, on every hill and side street and area of Sayulita. Its not the quiet little pueblo of 10 years ago, plus the general hustle and bustle that is the ambience of Mexico. They have legal working hours that they are to follow. I didnt realize they were working in the evening, as I havent had any other guest complaints. Thanks for your feed back.

Casa Sol was everything and more than we expected. The flat is located up a relatively steep hill from the center of town. The walk was welcome after leisurely days in Sayulita; it also means that the views are spectacular. The guest units (Casa Sol being 1 of 3) are just down the stone path from Jo-Ann's main home, and are perched up high and secluded with lush landscape surrounding. Everything that we needed was thought of and the communication from Jo-Ann was A+. The pool and palapa lounge area adjoining the main house and guest houses was serene and felt luxurious. The house dog Lucky is a sweetheart and a little rascal. We loved everything about Casa Sol and would highly recommend it to others. Thanks, Jo-Ann!

I had a great experience staying at Jo-Ann's casita. The home, grounds and view are all incredible. The pictures really do not do it justice. Check-in was a breeze and Jo-Ann was so friendly and accommodating. We considered getting a golf-cart after driving up to the house, but then got used to the quick walk up the hill, which really only took 5 minutes. I will absolutely stay here again when I return to Sayulita.

I live in Mexico, at the property in Sayulita. I feel very fortunate to be waking up each morning in paradise! I like to walk the beach, volunteer at the school reading with the little kids, ride my horse, entertain friends, and just enjoy spending time at the casa. I enjoy meeting our guests and making them feel at home. I have met alot of amazing people over the past 7 years. Caracol has great staff that look after the property meticulously, making your stay comfortable, and good value for your hard earned dinero. I pride myself in supplying a relaxing and memorable holiday for guests that choose to e and stay with us! If you have been already, come back soon!
