We have just spent a week at this fabulous accommodation. The space both inside and outside the property, together with the scenic views was just perfect. Use of the pool was the highlight for the boys. Food at the local pub (10 minute walk) was lovely, although the kitchen was well stocked with the equipment we needed to stay in and cook easily. Would definitely stay here again.

What an iddilic place! A converted barn on a farm! So quiet, but lots of walks and things to do in the area. 3 days wasn't enough! Lorna and her family are lovely and are great hosts. The honey, eggs, marmalade and home made chocolate brownies on arrival were all delicious! We will definitely be back, this time in the Summer.

We had a lovely time at the Park House Barn, which was furnished very comfortably. Our children loved the swimming pool and seeing the chickens, horses and Lorna's friendly dog, Orla. Breathtaking views of the English countryside, very child friendly and a wonderful host and hostess.

We've just returned from a fantastic stay at Park House Barn. Lorna was a great host and even left us some fudge and fresh eggs to get us started!! We were travelling with a 2-year old and a dog and the layout of the cottage and the land was absolutely ideal. At night when our little girl was asleep, there is a separate exit to an enclosed patio space for the dog so she could go out to do her business without us having to walk past the sleeping toddler's room and possibly disturb her. Likewise, in the morning, the dog could have a run around in a large open space in the adjoining fields whilst our toddler looked at the chickens and horse and play on the swings and the slide. We've been to a number of holiday cottages and this is by far the best layout and it made it so easy to manage. Often we need to figure out who's going to take the dog out and who's going to look after the child but at Park House Barn we could achieve everything without straying too far from the cottage. The swimming pool is a major plus point as well. It's a good size and steady 30/31 degrees so is plenty warm enough for children to swim comfortably. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living area is a very good size. There is a DVD player and plenty of DVDs to choose from as well as a wide selection of books, both for adults and kids. The location is also excellent and we were at the South coast within 45 minutes and there is plenty of stuff to do even closer. All in all a fantastic stay and we'll surely go back.

A lovely, cosy, clean and comfortable property. The barn is set on the edge of two villages. One with its own shop (great for those essentials missed off the shopping list!) and the other with a fantastic pub where we enjoyed a lovely last night meal and a couple of pints on the first evening. The pool is fantastic – heated to a good temperature; showers "en suite" and with some pool toys for the kids. There are plenty of DVD's and games to keep you entertained on those rainy days and the heating was more than adequate when it was a little chilly out! Would highly recommend!!!

Hi I'm Lorna Cooke, I live in the Dorset countryside and have been married to Andrew for 14 years. We have 3 children and all love animals. We have lots of chickens, 3 cats, 3 horses and a dog. I love horse riding, reading, cooking and as well as our holiday cottage I have a small home baking business called Willivari's Cakes and Catering and sell at local farmers markets.
