Located in the most tranquil setting, in your very own private and secluded orchard garden, aptly named Orchard Cabin is blessed with spectacular views of nearby Dartmoor.
The current pricing includes heating that comprises gas fire in living space and oil fuelled radiator in double bedroom.
For those of you staying a week or longer. you will be provided with a welcome basket full of goodies to get you through the first night and next day's breakfast.
You have a large living space complete with large seating area, dining table and chairs. Lots of shelving for books & DVDs that you want to bring.
An additional blow up mattress and sleeping bag are available for your use located under the seating area in the living room.
You will enjoy a double bedroom with lovely views on to the orchard garden. You have a dressing table with mirror and plenty of storage for clothing, boots etc.
There is a fully fitted bathroom with spacious shower, sink and loo.
The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge and freezer, microwave, gas cooker and oven with of course hot and cold running water.
There is no wi-fi, tv or any other modern day distractions from the peace and tranquillity of this secluded retreat, but there is a very good mobile signal should you require it.
As reflected by the pricing, this is a 'no frills' base for people and animal lovers to experience the delight of Dartmoor and all that the local area has to offer.
On that note, upon request I can supply you with my own produce grown organically on my farm. Fresh eggs, vegetables, soft fruits and salads according to seasonal availability.
Orchard Cabin has it's own private entrance with private drive for parking. Set in a beautiful orchard garden just off a farm track with no neighbours in sight. You have private parking on a private drive and your own private entrance to the secluded caravan.
You have full use of the abundant garden, furniture and the BBQ and will be left alone to enjoy your peaceful stay.
Interaction with guests
I will be available as much or as little as you need. I can help you with planning trips, sourcing local produce, giving a guided tour of the rest of the farm - even showing you the wonders of lambing in the Spring.
Other things to note
You are more than welcome to bring your pets - cats, dogs or even horses. You are welcome to have your dogs/cats stay in Orchard Cabin with you.
Alternatively, for dogs and/or cats used to being kenneled or staying in a cattery, we have an outdoor facility available for your use. This is close to the cabin and within your private grounds.
Additionally we have stabling and a railed paddock for up to 2 horses.

Pets including horses very welcome. Fees apply as per the following:
* Cat(s)/dog(s) staying in caravan - £3 per night cleaning fee irrespective of number of pets.
* Cat(s)/dog(s) making use of cattery/kenneling facilities - £7 per 24 hours irrespective of number of animals. Includes; feeding bowls, bedding and cat litter.
* Horses - £25 per horse for the first night, £10 per horse for each subsequent night. Includes: bedding, horse box parking, day time stabling and turn over night in railed paddocks.
All fees payable directly in cash on arrival.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.

At the same time, alongside my daughter Jess, we run our small working farm of cows, sheep and organic produce.
We also stable horses, our own and some of the locals'. Some of our horses compete in events and horse shows. Jess' passion is eventing and she competes regularly whenever and wherever she can.
