A colorful townhouse near Trinco's center. Price is for the whole house with three doubles and a single bedroom. AC is optional.
Kirupa's was built as a family home and was renovated recently to host guests. The guesthouse is on the ground floor, while Kirupa's family lives on the upper floor. The home is maintained nicely and clean. It has 3 double rooms with 3 attached bathrooms, 1 single room, a fully equipped kitchen and optional AC. There's a spacious verendah with chairs for guests to chill out. In the garden there's a kohomba tree, which brings in a breath of fresh air to the house. All in all, an ideal place for a group or family to explore Trincomalee.
Interaction with guests
Mr. Kirupa, the owner and host, lives with his wife on the upper floor of the guesthouse. Both of them are graduate teachers with over 30 years of experience. Kirupa teaches religion and his wife teaches history, both in schools in Trinco. Together they form a very warm and friendly, traditional Tamil family. Kirupa speaks English well and he can arrange transport and tour services upon request.
Neverbeen offers a wide variety of rare homes off the beaten track, from fisherman's huts and tree houses to heritage homes and tea estates. Our team hand-picks and visits every home and meet all hosts to make ensure guests have a positively memorable stay in places they've never been.
We provide travellers and home owners in challenging locations with access to one another, by offering communication services, online marketing services and tourism training, so that locals can make a living off their home and travellers can get to stay in places they have never been.
As such, Neverbeen works for a world in which everyone has the chance to earn income by renting out their home, regardless of language, internet access and tourism experience.
In Sri Lanka, Dishan manages our growing group of homes in cooperation with our scouts, while Rohan creates listings and provides service. In Amsterdam, Marten works out international growth plans. Our team of in-house programmers is constantly developing the platform itself and Ernst & Young does our finances.
The first country we're active in is Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with many undiscovered places to stay. Due to it recently having opened up to tourism after decades of conflict, it is a great place to start and pilot the Neverbeen concept. We plan to expand to ten countries before the end of 2017.
