Rustic New England charm for the perfect quiet getaway! Virginia is a friendly, welcoming host who went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. She even pulled out sleds and toys for us to use. Beautiful views, adorable animals, and an impressive collection of anti…

Virginias place is a real treat, especially if you are a history buff. Such gorgeous antiques and such a real feel for the 18th century. She was a thoughtful and accomodating host. The space we stayed in was beautiful and really comfortable. We loved it and appreciate the effort …

Response from Virginia:
I'm sad that this guest felt she needed to fabricate lies about what actually happened. I wish there was a way to filter delusional, paranoid and vindictive people from signing up. I've only had 3 bad experiences in 17 years in business- this truly is one of them. I was on property the entire time and she never asked for "a clean towel or sheet". In fact all linens are washed after every guest, all dishes used sanitized, floors vacuumed, bathroom scoured- counter tops are wood with a hard finish. The photos are of this place, it is a farm and I allow people with dogs to come and stay. She on the other hand was comfortable leaving pasta and sauce uncovered out on the stove all day, left burned food under the coils on the new stove, her food In the frig, and garbage was not taken out- all against house rules. I'm grateful when guests don't break furniture or stain the quilts. There are locks on the doors. I offered her help with the slider. She never took me up on my offer. She is not welcome here.

Virginia is an excellent hostess. She made us feel very welcome, leaving delicious treats in the apartment for us. She makes the best zucchini bread we have ever had. The house is rustic, the farm and surrounding land lovely and very peaceful. The farm is just far enough away fro…

I do give out recipes and can provide meals with notice and negotiation. I think Marcy's dogs were great. They made new friends easily and seemed contented.

I'm a semi-retired musician that loves colonial history and lives on a property from 1730 that I made into a horse farm and inn. I love Downton Abby, Poldark and Outlander. I love meeting guests and sharing ideas. This place is colonial history, farm life, peace and tranquility. …
