Nestled between boutique-filled Cockburn Street and Market Street, this 1st floor apartment is truly THE place to be for exploring Edinburgh by foot. Sleeping up to 5 guests in classic, elegant style, the Fleshmarket Close Residence is lovingly designed to ensure that your Scottish adventure will be one to remember.

A spacious and delightfully cozy livingroom awaits weary travellers, and we invite you to put your feet up and sink into a soft leather sofa. Large sash windows provide stunning views over North Bridge, and characteristically Edinburgh-style high ceilings give the space a delightfully airy feel, perfect for padding around in your pyjamas while you plan your next expedition into the nooks and closes of the Old Town. The open plan living space also features a dining area to sleep six, so whether you’re sitting down for a family breakfast or grabbing a quick bite before heading to a good old fashioned British pub, you’ll be well accommodated. We all know that the joy of a self catered holiday is the sense of freedom to do as you wish, and you’ll certainly feel right at home at the Fleshmarket Close. A wonderfully spacious kitchen area nestles to the far end of the living area, with stylish brick effect decor and gleaming white cabinets. There’s plenty of space for everyone to give you a hand with the cooking, and the kitchen features all the mod-cons needed for a relaxing break, including a dishwasher, oven, toaster and kettle.

When it’s time to nestle under the covers after a long day seeing all the delights Edinburgh has to offer, lay your head down in one of the Fleshmarket Close’s 3 bedrooms. Choose between two handsome doubles (one with ensuite) or a cosy single, and let yourself drift off to the land of nod. A wonderfully soft dove grey carpet and warm wood furnishings give the bedrooms an air of quiet serenity, and we hope you’ll have nothing but sweet dreams. Please note that there is a pub beneath the property, and so we cannot guarantee silence, but we can assure you that being in the centre of Scotland’s most exciting city is well worth any occasional disturbance. As well as a luxurious ensuite shower room, this property features a sleek and modern family bathroom. Whether you’d like to rest your tired muscles with a long soak after a busy day or have a hot morning shower to energize you for the day ahead, do it in style in this stunning room of enticing modern angles and sparkling chrome.

We’ve already mentioned the simply fabulous location of this property, but it truly does bear repeating. Newcomers and returning visitors to Edinburgh all covet the same thing - to be as close to the action as possible; to be a stone’s throw from the castle, the Royal Mile and Princes Street. This property delivers on all accounts. Walk a mere five minutes to explore stunning Edinburgh Castle, take a short jaunt down the road to meet the delights of the Royal Mile, or be in Princes Street before you know it! Nearby Cockburn Street is a treasure trove of vintage boutiques and quaint restaurants, so why not dip through the nearest close and see what surprises await you. If you’d like to head further afield, Edinburgh Waverley Train Station is a hop, skip and a jig away, and North Bridge is extremely well served by Edinburgh’s efficient bus service. Edinburgh’s fabulous hop on/hop off bus tour also stops nearby, and we’d definitely recommend seeing the historic city from a vintage doubledecker!

Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 21:00 will incur a late fee of £30 for unsociable hours. Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

Please arrange your arrival with the property manager at least 24 hours before arrival.

Check in is from 4pm, and check out is before 11am.

It is true what the other reviews say. It's noisy at night. Well exuipt kitchen and cleaning stuff. Iron, hairdryer. If you like tea/coffee, pick up milk before you arrive so you can enjoy a hot drink as you settle in. Rooms are a bit cold but bedding brilliant .

If you wish to stay in the hub of Edinburgh this is the perfect location. Walking distance to all main attractions and shops. Every thing Gareth has put on Airbnb website about his flat was true so no surprises. My sisters and I really enjoyed our few days. Thank you Gareth.
