Now, I don't like to write negative reviews but this place was absolutely not what I expected after having read the almost exclusively positive reviews on Andre's airbnb. In any case, I'd like to start with the positive: communication was good, me and my boyfriend arrived quite late in the evening (9pm) and Andre made sure that a friend of his was there to let us in. The place is about 10 minute walk from the train station which was really good for us who had to leave early the next morning. The center of Verona is also reachable by another 10 min walk which was nice. However, the room we stayed in was a bit of a disappointment to say the least. First of all, it was not well cleaned. There was toothpaste stains in the sink, stains on the blanket and dust on all tables. The window was broken so that it was impossible to close. It did not feel safe to leave our computers and other valuables in the room when we went for dinner. And to make matters worse, it was quite cold in the night as we had to sleep with the window half open. The bathroom/shower is shared. That is fine, it is clearly stated in the room description. What is not said is however that it is shared with all other rooms. There are four (double - triple?) rooms in total. Four rooms on one bath is a lot. It is hardly surprising that it also was quite dirty:There was a lump of black hair in the shower and a wet towel on the floor. It smelled of mold and humidity but worst of all was however the window which was covered by a black plastic bag (???!!)instead of window glass. Sorry to say, but this was by far the worst place I've stayed in through airbnb so far. It was absolutely not worth the over 70 euro we paid for it. Though it is possible to survive one night here, like we did, I would unfortunately not recommend anyone staying here.
