My brother and I stayed at the Charles Over Mansion during our travels through the state to do some hiking. It was a wonderful home, well furnished with antiques and interesting pieces of art, and Jonathan was a great host!

Beautiful home with amazing details but lots of stairs - no elevator. One bathroom shared between 3 guest bedrooms.

Response from Jonathan:
One bathroom shared between 3 bedrooms is inaccurate. There are two full baths on the second floor and and a half bath on the first. All the bathrooms are available to all the guests at any time. The home is one of the finest examples of historic restoration and architecture in the region. Given that this Victorian Colonial Revival home was built in 1901 there is, unfortunately no elevator. I am truly sorry that your stay was less than comfortable. A lot of work goes into making sure the guests at the Over Mansion are cared for, respected and given an extraordinarily unique experience that can be had no where else in the country. Let me know if you'd like to stay again and I'll make sure you have a better experience.
