Guests often search for this popular amenity
A bright spacious twin-bedded room which has lovely views overlooking this picturesque little town in North East Fife. Enjoy exploring nearby St Andrews, Scone Palace and the fishing villages of the East Neuk, with Edinburgh just an hour away. Or treat yourself to a creative retreat - Newburgh is home to a number of artists and writers who relish its inspiring and peaceful setting.

The space
Bright colourful period home (1906), spread over two floors, with entry via an external staircase lined with flowerpots. The guest room is on the top floor and has a TV, radio, hairdryer and tea/coffee tray. The large breakfasting kitchen overlooks the enclosed rear garden. I'm a metalsmith and textile artist and also an avid traveller and collector so the house is full of colour and quirky objects. Dogs are welcome (I have a laid back golden retriever.)

Where you’ll be

Newburgh, United Kingdom

Set on the banks of the river Tay, Newburgh is on the Fife Coastal Path and a great place to explore Fife's history and countryside. You can reach St Andrews in just 30 minutes and in less than an hour you can be visiting the fishing ports of the East Neuk. Historic Scone Palace in Perthshire is less than half an hour away. For country auction lovers, nearby Dunshalt boasts a weekly Wednesday evening auction which is always great fun.
Newburgh has a well-stocked Co-op, butcher and two bakers, plus a pub serving food on selected nights. There are also places to eat in nearby Abernethy, Falkland and, a little further away, in Perth and Cupar.
