The Stone House Hideaway is the perfect little holiday home for a couple or a family with young children. It is the only small property on Serifos with a swimming pool.

The space

The Hideaway is an independent part of the Stone House on Serifos, and has its own entrance and a small private courtyard where you can sit out in the shade of a lemon tree. It is perfect for couples who want space and independence, but it can also easily accommodate families with up to three children. The living room has a sitting corner with two built-in sofas that can be made as single beds, a dining table, an additional sofa that can be used as a single bed, and a small kitchenette (fridge, two electric cooking rings, kettle, toaster and basic kitchen equipment). The bedroom has a double bed (1.40m), two small windows and a ceiling fan. There is one (open) wardrobe with shelves. The bathroom has a shower, sink and WC. Views are of the courtyard, and you can enjoy full island and sea views from the pool area.

Guest access

The Hideaway is an independent part of the Stone House, and if we are there, we will respect your privacy and make sure we don't bother you. For this reason, we don't rent the Hideaway during the months of July and August, when we either rent the entire house, or we stay and have houseguests.
You will find the beds made when you arrive, and I will leave you seperate sets of towels for the bathroom and for the pool/beach.
You will have access to the swimming pool of the Stone House. We prefer swimming in the sea, so you will practically have it for private use.
Keep in mind that the pool is not heated (no need for that during the summer!) and that it is not in use between November and April or May.

Interaction with guests

I will try to be on Serifos for your arrival, and when I am not, I will make sure there will be someone to welcome you and show you around. Should you need any assistance during your stay, I am always reachable by phone or email.

Other things to note

WiFi is available.
As long as we don't have anyone staying until the day of your arrival or from the day of your departure, check-in and check-out times are flexible.

The Stonehouse Hideaway is exactly as described. You are so close to the center of the island but you feel like you are so far away from it! The house offers its guests very relaxing moments with great views and refreshing breaks in the pool.Me and my 3 girls really enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time there!

Jacoline was just the most helpful host! She wasn't there when we were but still managed to provide us with all the info we needed and more. She saved our bacon when we had to change our travel plans at the last minute! We are very thankful! It is a beautiful island and a lovely spot!

We had a great stay at the stonehouse! Jacoline and her husband are really nice and it was a pleasure dealing with them. It was our first holiday with our 4 months old baby so we were very excited how the accomodation is going to be. The stonehouse hideaway is a simple but very charming studio. It is furnished really tasteful and has a good standard. It has no sea view but the view from the pool area (which is just a few metres to walk) is fantastic. Sometimes it got pretty hot in the studio because its situated a little further down and there are no windows facing the sea to get a breeze. But there are good fans which help a lot (we didn't want to turn them on because of the baby). Jacoline even had a travel bed, bath tub and toys for our baby which was so sweet! The pool is great. We had a fantastic stay, Thank you very much!!!

I can't speak for The HideAway studio in particular as, due to external reasons, we were kindly offered to stay in the whole house instead of the HideAway, which was definitely an upgrade. So I can only say a word about the house, the property, the location and Jacoline's welcome. And.. it is absolutely amazing. The house is very tastefully furnished, with great views everywhere and a very unique and warm atmosphere. Jacoline and her husband were so kind, accomodating, smiling and elegant and we just regret we didn't had much time to talk. They left a little manual where you can find advices about where to go and where to eat with detailed reviews of each places so that everyone can find something to their taste. We used it a lot and weren't disapointed. Last but not least, we loved the house's spirit, with just the minimum of rules for good use and the instruction to enjoy the place as much as possible as a leitmotiv (for instance, we were allowed to use the swimming pool for night baths which is kind of rare). Also, it is preferable to have a car cause the house is located 25min walk from the port and the restaurants and it's not easy to come back at night as the way is not illuminated. As we expected, the island of Serifos remains quite preserved of mass turism and there is so much to do for those who like exploring unspoiled and empty places. I always choose very carefully the accomodation I stay in on holidays and Jacoline's house was definitely one the best I had. Thank you so much to you and your husband for offering such wonderful places!
