The house was very clean, neat and cozy with a well equipped kitchen and washer and dryer. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the little touches provided, such as pancake mix, food in the fridge, DVD movies and local travel information. Aimee and David were attentive and welcoming, but gave us privacy. This is a great place to stay. The amenities more than compensated for the location being about 25 minutes from the entrance to Acadia National Park.

Aimee and David are very considerate hosts. Their home is clean and spacious. Communication is easy. They thought of everything to help us have a very relaxing vacation in a scenic part of the country. Highly recommended.

Aimee and Davids place was super clean and cozy and we were in constant touch with them about the arrangements. We were going to teach in the middle of the night and they made sure to stock the refrigerator with the basics for breakfast the next morning. The house was just like we expected and we would love to come back and stay here.

Aimee and David's place is amazing! Not only is it spacious and cozy, they really went the extra mile in providing amenities, like bug spray and maps of Acadia National Park. It is a bit of a drive from the main part of the park, but I'd still recommend staying here, especially if you have four or more people.

My family has stayed at a number of airBNBs including several others in the area, and this one truly stands out for the THOUGHTFULLNESS of how the place is equipped. There is everything you could need available, including lovely breakfast materials, fully equipped kitchen, a great bbq setup, and so on. In addition, there's a magic red binder containing all kinds of insider information about the area, much of which was new to me though I have been visiting the area all my life. This place is a gem, and clearly, Aimee and David are gems, too.

Aimee and David's house is clean, cozy, and very family-friendly - my younger daughter described our vacation this time as "the best one ever", the bar is then immediately set higher for the next one.

Comfortable, very clean, and welcoming. Well apportioned and quiet. Good location for day trips to explore the pristine and uncrowded Schoodic Peninsula and the other part of Acadia National Park. Very convenient to Ellsworth. Great hosts!

We've collectively lived in Maine for over 55 years. Aimee finally moved downeast after 20 years of vacationing in Maine and living in Chicago; David moved "home" to Maine after a childhood of moving around for his father's military service. Aimee is an administrator at a local nonprofit, and David is in construction and rebuilt Grist Mill Cottage from bare studs.
