Ashok and his family made us extremely welcome in their home for two nights in Bharatpur. We are travelling with two teenage daughters and this was only their third night in India- we couldn't have chosen better. Ashok, his wife and daughter looked after us very well and their home-cooked food was perfectly delicious. Certainly the best-tasting, freshest chapatis we've had. The property has a tranquil, lush garden that is carefully tended and full of butterflies, birds and fruit trees. Best of all were two scops owls who have made one of the trees their home . We spent a very relaxing afternoon on the verandah trying to take photos of the resident chipmunks and enjoying a cold beer. Ashok was very knowledgeable about the bird sanctuary which is a ten minute walk away from the house. We spent an enjoyable morning cycling around the park- you can hire bikes there. Thank you for having us.

Everything you need for a pre-Delhi or Agra stop-off. We were on the way from Pushkar to Agra and it was great. Food was amazing, freshly cooked and had everything for the family. The bed was comfy and it was walking distance to the bird sanctuary. Great rate and they had BEER!

This is a wonderful chill out little lodge, with a pretty garden, verandahs shading each room and plenty of space with seating and day beds outside to enjoy. The rooms are basic, with attached shower/basin/toilet and tiled. I didn't use the air conditioners or fans but they are there. The beds are comfortable and wide with colourful blankets and top sheets. Ask for the two rooms away from the road for they are the biggest and have more furniture. Indu keeps the place spotlessly clean and cooks tasty meals which can be eaten in the garden or in a shelter attached to the main house. Ashok ji is full of information and specialises in keeping his garden looking its best. They are delightful hosts, with a daughter and son who dealt with the reservations, and all made me so welcome - going the extra mile to make my stay enjoyable. I thank them all sincerely. Wifi is provided, but is erratic in this area. This was my second stay as I was here 10 years ago! The lodge is an easy 15 minute walk from the Bird Sanctuary while the moated fort, museum and bazaar make for an interesting day out too. Day trips can be made to other nearby places of interest.

Ashok and his wife are great hosts. They created a green paradise with all the lovely animals, dog, chicken, birds and squirrel, in dry and hectic India. We really felt at home and enjoyed your hospitality and your kitchen and our discussions.

Ashok’s place is beautiful. It’s a little piece of heaven in what can be a chaotic place (India - not Bharatpur specifically). Gardens to sit in, birds to listen too and delicious food prepared by Indu. It’s walkable to Keoladeo and a short bus ride to Fatehpur Sikri. I wish we could have stayed longer as it would have been a great base to do Agra, Fatehpur Sikri and Keoladeo. Please stay here if you get the chance!

Ashok is informative and communicative. Room was ready for us when we arrived. Food variety is good, tasty and reasonably priced. Ashok's wife and co-host Indu is a good cook and made food for us even though we ordered late. Ashok showed us an Owl couple that has made Jungle Resort their home for last 7 months.

Since I was the child I used to go to the bird sanctuary because it was close to my home. that time cattle are allowed in the bird sanctuary. I spend my whole day there, there I meet SALIM ALI one of the best birdwatchers in the world. I worked under him many years. After completed my studies I was attracted towards nature. then I got training from the government of Rajasthan for the guide then I got my license and start working in a bird sanctuary. After that, I worked as a guide in all over India with the people of India, Bangladesh, Nepal as a tour guide. Now I am running a small home stay. I want people should come here so I can share my knowledge with them and my experience
