We stayed at Vanya's place for a couple of nights and found that it was a good location to explore Fiordland! The hosts are also extremely friendly and welcoming!

Would definitely recommend staying here! Vanya and Mark are such lovely hosts. We felt so welcome in their home and really enjoyed their company over a yummy dinner. The house and garden are beautiful, so peaceful and the dogs and the donkeys add to the magic. Thank you so much both of you for such an enjoyable experience, and for the pie shop recommendation! Hope to meet again :)

My husband and I have stayed in many Airbnb places, and Vanya and Mark are two of the best hosts ever! We had so much fun staying with them. They fed us delicious fruits, vegetables, and honey from their garden, and entertained us for many hours with great conversation. Their place is perfect if you want to visit Fiordland or the South Coast. We wish we had stayed for more than two days, and we will definitely stay with them again next time we come to NZ

You are very kind, thank you. We did feel it was like having people we'd known for years come to stay. We would love to see you both again.

Vanya and his husband is really sweet and lovely couple. They are very hospitable and friendly. Vanya also cooked a nice dinner for us. We had a very nice talking which lasted for several hours. Unbelievable! They are just like old friends and we also like their cute donkeys and dogs. The house is very clean, tidy, warm and cozy. I will cherish these wonderful memories and look forward to meeting them again.

The house was very clean and vanya and mark are great hosts. There is a cardlock with the cheapest fuel in the province not far away and a four square grocery store in night caps We would stay again and would recommend it for anyone who wants to visit with people as much as have a place to rest.

We had a short but nice and very intensive time with Vanya and Mark... They are very nice hosts and took us for a nice river evening walk... We enjoyed diner together and had good conversations... The bathroom I liked much... the cosy and good smell... And for sure: don't miss to see the donkeys and listen to the story about them... Kiwis at its best! Your special experience awaits you. Thanks a lot!

Mark and I live in a small rural community and, having travelled quite a lot ourselves, we enjoy sharing our home with visitors from other parts of the world. We have two small foxy dogs which have the run of the house. We are very proud of this part of NZ living as we do in view of the Takitimu Mountains and not far from the main road between Queenstown and Milford Sound. We are 40 minutes from Lake Hauroko which is part of Fiordland. A day trip from our place could take in Gemstone Beach, Monkey Island, Cosy Nook, Colac Bay and Riverton. We extend a particularly warm welcome to women travellers.
For cyclists or runners or recreational walkers we are not far from the historic and very scenic Mt Linton sheep station which hosts the Mt Linton muster on Saturday, March 25, 2017
