Our home is situated in the foothills of the Alps. We live on a one acre block alongside Simmonds creek, and although it feels remote, it is walking distance to local restaurants and dining. You’ll love our home because of its quiet location, rammed earth beauty and gorgeous cottage gardens. You can fall asleep listening to frogs and wake up to beautiful bird calls.

Guest access
Guests can either choose to remain in their own space, with their separate room (with queen size bed), bathroom and toilet or they are welcome to join our family in our living areas. The guest room is spacious so a mattress can be added for a child. Note: our property is not fenced and there is a creek and dam close by. We are dog friendly and have an area to keep your dog close by. You are welcome to use the kitchen to cook a meal and we can provide an occasional meal on request. There is currently no TV in the guest room although guests are welcome to share our living space and TV. The guest space has a small fridge, kettle and hot drink making facilities as well as a microwave oven.

We are surrounded by bush and paddocks in every direction. Our neighbours are very quiet and very lovely. There is a creek to wade in if the weather is warm and a hammock hanging in the shady trees nearby.
There are kangaroos living in the paddock across the road.
We grow boysenberries, raspberries and blueberries which are usually ripe to eat in December/January.

We are Michelle and Conrad and we live on a beautiful one acre property beside Simmonds Creek in a lovely rammed earth home. We grow berries in the summer and have a great vegetable garden and orchard. We have chooks and a super friendly labracollie named Gibson. We try to minimise our impact on the natural environment by generating our own electricity, heating our water through solar and wood fire sources and by reusing what we can where possible.

We welcome the chance to get to know you and share stories. Depending on when you are staying, we are often available to help with information about the local area. Between us we have a wealth of knowledge about the local area - great places to run, ski, hike and bike. You could even engage one of us to give you a personal tour of the famous Mount Beauty mountain bike park! We are generally at work and school between 9-5pm weekdays.
