This is a completely suspended Tent Tree House called a Tentsile Tent. You’ll love my place because of the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space, and the fact that you will be suspended in the air right beside a lake! Yaaay! lol. We have showers, kitchen, power outlets, and we get cell reception at our lodge. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).

The space

- The tree house will be suspended 4-5 feet off the ground for safety of guests and their children, as well as ease of entry/exit.
- This is truly a once in a lifetime experience, trust me on this one!
- The tent is set up overlooking our beautiful lake.
- On clear nights you can see through the tree tops and view the beautiful night sky filled with stars.

Guest access

- You will have access to our lodge, which is equipped with two full bathrooms, showers, and a full commercial kitchen, so bring all the grub!!
- Power outlets on site.
- Cell reception on Campgrounds

Interaction with guests

Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns, and I 'll be happy to help! Hope you enjoy your trip!

Other things to note

Our ducks are laying some wonderful eggs, and we would love to share those with you. So you're welcome to eat all the duck eggs your heart desires! Haha

Anyone looking for a truly unique overnight experience has to look no further. Ryan is able to provide a nice getaway from your daily grind, and a great excuse to try something a little out of your routine. Ryan was very accommodating to our schedule and happily greeted us when we arrived, and gave us a tour of the grounds. The main building has a full kitchen, lounge area, and full restrooms. We opted to cook dinner over the fire so we didn't spend much time indoors, but it's nice to have a back up in case the weather turns sour. There's a small lake, complete with ducks happily chattering and swimming about. We didn't venture to far from the main area, but there's plenty of room to explore the wooded lot, which includes some trails, and obstacles made by Ryan himself. The tent is amazing. The first time getting in can be tricky, but once you're inside you can see why the other reviews have been so favorable. It's a covered hammock, but without the instability. All three sides of the tent have flaps which allow in air and a limited view. The night we stayed in particular started out rather mild, but quickly turned cold and breezy as the night wore on. Despite the temperature change, the sounds of the woods lulled us to sleep rather quickly. The air will still chilly as we woke the next morning, and we laughed a bit as neither of us were willing to move from underneath the blankets we had piled on. Cue the ducks, who made their way under the tent while looking for food, and were making quite a racket. I ran up to the building to grab some feed, but the ducks, obviously in tune to what I was doing, were hot on my heels. Tip: feed the ducks as soon as you get there. They'll follow you around the rest of your stay and it's awesome. Speaking to Ryan over the course of our stay, it's easy to see the passion he has for this place and why he does what he does. For us, it was a needed departure from our routine; for Ryan, it's a lifestyle, and a chance to educate and entertain. We'll be in touch with him again soon to take our family camping and hiking in Shenandoah. Thanks again to Ryan and his daughter (and their beautiful dog Juna!) for a refreshing and worry-free night. He's building a great place to unwind. I can tell you, going to work the past couple days has been a challenge!

Tent is awesome and property is nice. It's definitely a camp atmosphere and the house is a hostel / rooming house situation. Bathroom was rather grungy and no toilet paper. Still a great place to camp in a really cool tent. I will be buying one for myself! Communication with Ryan was good.

Ryan's tent and lodge are a great country escape. The weather was bad (cold and rainy) while we were there, and that was not fun, so we left a little early. But it would be such a fun spot to relax under the sun and stars. Maybe next time!

This night in the suspended tent was an extraordinary experience. Ryan was very welcoming. It was a cold and windy night but the tent was really cosy. I recommend bringing extra blankets or a camping mat because the most cold comes from the bottom of the tent. Thanks a lot!

We stayed Saturday night this past weekend, and loved it! We stayed in the suspended tent. We were very comfortable and surprisingly warm. We felt very welcomed, Ryan and everyone was a great host. We loved walking around the property and holding the bunnies! We were so sad to leave I wish we would have booked for the whole weekend. The bathrooms were also really clean! It's in a great location we had cell phone service so we finished the night watching Netflix after sitting by the fire until about 1 in the morning. Also their were stores within 10-15 minutes like a super target, wawa and food places. Another great aspect their was no rush to get up and get out check out is late not as soon as you open your eyes and check in was wonderful because it also wasn't a pressured time! I think this place is great for all ages it lets you unwind and make connections. I can't wait to come back and see all their future plans finished.

Hello everyone, I'm Ryan! I just started a campground here in northern Virginia with my two amazing daughters. Our plan is to have a camp where the focus is connecting with your loved ones. We want a place the embodies peace and tranquility. We want to create an environment where it's easy to get back to the basics and spend quality time with those you care about most.
As far as myself, I spent 11 years in the military, then I opened a CrossFit gym and ran that for about 7 years. After I sold the gym, I moved to Canada and lived in my van for about a year studying mountaineering. And most recently I just graduated the fire academy, so now I'm a firefighter!! Haha. I hope you enjoy our space and keep checking back often because we will continue to make the camp more and more awesome!! I believe the secret to being happy in this life is by sharing it with others. I believe in experiences over possessions, travel, meet people, share your light with the world! So come on out to see us and share your travel stories with us, we would love to hear them! :)
