I have lived in this Victorian mansion for 15 years and have lovingly restored it over that time – all four storeys! The house was originally built in the 1880s by a contractor for his family. The large top full floor penthouse suite, which was the original servants’ quarters, is my favorite part of the house. Please read more about how I came about owning this house in my profile.
I recently repainted the suite, refinished the original wood plank flooring, updated the lighting and installed a new mesh WiFi system. Now, it is available for guests to enjoy, those who want to stay in the most coveted and historic neighborhood of San Francisco, Pacific Heights. Designer artwork and curated decorator touches ensure you feel like you are staying in a true mansion.
The fourth floor is over 1200 sq ft, with one Queen-size bedroom, several pullout beds in the living room and a separate dining area for six. Cook in the chef’s kitchen with high-end appliances, as you enjoy the City view all the way to Twin Peaks. Read a selection from the library of San Francisco/ Bay Area books in the turret, catch up on your email at the desk provided, have a cocktail on the private deck overlooking the garden or watch your favorite shows inside on the big screen TV.
Guests have a private entrance with access to the suite, private rooftop deck, and enclosed, private garage. Numerous lights illuminate the way up the stairs to the penthouse suite.
Interaction with guests
I travel occasionally, but thanks to professional hosting help, you'll be well-taken care of. Please say hello if you see me out front tending the Victorian-inspired garden.
Other things to note
A penthouse view in a 130+ year old Victorian comes with a fair amount of stairs. But, it's well worth it to see sweeping San Francisco views when you rest in a comfy chair in the Queen Anne turret. Pacific Heights is known for its upscale shops and restaurants and fabled Victorian mansions.
