Wake up to the sunrise across the surrounding countryside and enjoy amazing sea views from the garden. Ideally situated on the west coast of the Trotternish peninsula, the two rooms are in a self-contained part of the house, exclusive to guests. Set within a former croft house dated circa 1890, guests have a private entrance, kitchen/diner etc. Kilvaxter is a traditional community steeped in history. Ideal for couples, families (with kids). Nearby is Quirang and Fairy Glen. 30 mins from Portree.
The accommodation is part of my large house (in that I live) which has been divided in two. Guests enjoy completely self contained facilties, same as in an apartment including, small double ensuite room, twin room, sitting area, family bathroom, kitchen/diner, free parking and private entrance.
Please note the building is a traditional croft house therefore the bedrooms upstairs have sloping ceilings so please be careful. You are welcome to roam the small garden which surrounds the house. I also have a cat who you might bump into outside, she is very friendly. Enjoy the amazing sunsets over the sea from the back of the house.
Guests have their own self-contained accommodation with private access and parking space.
Interaction with guests
I will be happy to give you any local information you need during your stay such as recommendations on where to eat, drink, places to visit etc.
Other things to note
Please note the track to the house is shared with a neighbour who has chickens so I ask that you please close the gate upon arrival or when leaving.
- The toilet is connected to a private septic tank system. It will only degrade human waste, so please do not throw any materials down the toilet other than toilet paper and human waste. Use bin provided for sanitary products etc!
-No additional guests are allowed to stay overnight.
-Please use coasters provided on bedside tables to protect the wood surfaces.
-Please keep the noise to a minimum after 10pm.
-On departure please place all rubbish in the silver dustbin located in the front garden.
-Unfortunately due to previous experience this accommodation is not suitable for students.
