Il Verdone is centrally located between Casteldardo and Alghero and close to Sassari, the second city of Sardinia. It is nestled among the olive groves and vineyards in a hilly area. It is a quiet location with a wealth of birds, clean air and only the sounds of nature and the countryside.

Nearby Usini is a typical Sardinian village with, among other things, two supermarkets and a number of bars and restaurants. In Usini you will find the typical Sardinian murals and a Domus de Janas (pre-nuraghic grave room). From Usini you can reach various beaches just a 30-minute drive away. For example, you can choose one of the longest beaches in Italy; Platamona, in front of the city beach of Alghero or just one of the many coves in the area like Porto Ferro or Le Bombarde.

But also visit one of the many archaeological sites, mountain towns like Monte Leone Roccadoria and Osilo or take a tour of the mountain landscape south of Usini and come back via the beautiful coastal road from Bosa to Alghero. Stintino (sometimes called the most beautiful beach in Europe) is easily accessible by car and we also personally recommend you to visit Asinara, the uninhabited island north of Stintino, known for its white donkeys. Hi, Welcome to Il Verdone. I'm Sandra, the host of Il Verdone. Together with my husband Janjo, I warmly welcome you to our little paradise in Usini, where we have had an allogio privato since 2025. It is a place where you can relax, meet people or choose to retreat. We come from the Netherlands but because of respiratory problems I live partly in beautiful Sardinia where the air is clean, the nature is beautiful, the people are friendly and the food is very tasty.
