About this listing

Noels Room is a ground floor bedroom with its own front door and is part of The Old Rectory, Rame. We've named it after Noel Coward who used to stay at The Old Rectory in the 1920's while visiting his friend John Ekins. It's an airy room with underfloor heating and a lovely ensuite shower room. French windows open out onto the garden.

Beautiful room in a perfect setting. Topped off with excellent hosts who couldn't be more accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in Noels room to be on the right side of Plymouth sound to photograph some friends finishing the Fastnet. It's a very comfortable room in a great location to enjoy the best of Rame Head area and the cliffs at Frithy where there is a lovely cafe overlooking the sea. The room is very comfortable with its own door from the front and a delightful patio accessed from French doors in the room. Louise is very welcoming and ensures fresh milk is available for drinks. She is contactable and very helpful if you need her but if you want to just spend time on your own you can. The ensuite has a great shower and Louise provides lovely towels. Parking is easy. We would recommend a visit to Edgecombe Country Park if you have time either for the walks or if you enjoy interesting houses and gardens. It's an easy trip into Plymouth either by car or by Cremyll foot ferry. If you do go there we recommend the Village restaurant. Cawsand and Kingsand are worth a visit for the beach and quaint cottages but park at the top and walk down. For breakfast we highly recommend The Canteen which has great food and lovely views. Just before you turn right to the canteen pull into the lay by and walk to the seat on left to see fantastic view not visible from the road. Do take time to pop into the church just by the house it's special and views from the coast path around Rame Head and Penlee well worth the effort.

Fantastic authentic room looks even better in real life. If you're going to Polhawn Fort this place is perfect as it's walkable so no messing around with complex travel arrangements

I had an absolutely lovely stay. Louise and Adrian could not have been more welcoming - and having cold milk in a churn outside the room for a cuppa when I arrived late was just fab. Great shower and just a great relaxed vibe. Lou's restaurant recommendations also v useful! So good I hesitate to tell you about it 'cos I want to return soon!

A great space in a lovely spot. It was lovely, comfy and clean and we were made to feel very welcome. My only regret was not trying the cider as the apple juice was delicious.

Adrian & Louise User ProfileAdrian & Louise is a superhost.

We are Adrian & Louise, a married couple in our fifties, with two Border Collies and we live at The Old Rectory Rame, a beautiful rural area 100 metres from the Cornish coast. We love countryside, pubs, walking with our dogs, wild life and old houses and we believe that a holiday home should be even better than your own home. The local area and our houses are full of history, the beautiful, ancient Rame Church is just opposite. We have planted our own orchard of 250 apple trees and we make our own apple juice and cider every year. Our motto would be "work hard play hard"!
