The place had lots of room, the host was very responsive. Easy access to beach and freeway. Nice and quiet as it was not on a busy street. Very comfortable.

Thank you, Sylvia. Another airbnb guest visited the property after it had been cleaned. He used the bathroom and did not tidy up after himself. Again my apologies for that. The backyard is in the midst of a remodel. The turf is installed on side and the concrete side gets messy from the gardener and kids playing. Soon more artificial turf will resolve that.

After living here for 6 weeks, I do not want anyone else to deal with what we went through. Albeit, it was in a great location. It was close to Liberty station, Sea World, and Ocean Beach. It was about 15-20 minutes to get to downtown, Kearny Mesa area, or Little Italy. Colleen even dropped off some sweets on 2 occasions. However, all these pros cannot outweigh the tremendous list of cons. I booked this AirBnB with 4 other people. The amenities and layout of the apartment were stated in the ad, so that was not a big issue. Upon arriving to the apartment the gate she told us to use to enter was not working, so we had to use a side fence that had a broken lock. The fence she wanted us to used instead was blocked by a recycling and trash bin, so it was hard to get in. We were shocked to see how dirty the apartment was. The couch was extremely dusty. One of our roommates went into an allergy attack after sitting on it. I sat on the couch for a period of 10 minutes and my skin started to break out, get bumpy, and itch. Same thing happened to 2 other roommates. Moving onto the bathroom, It look unkempt. There was little hairs all over the sink area. There was a cup of approximately 5-6 USED RAZORS next to the sink. We threw it away, but I believe that poses as a health hazard. The noise level was ridiculous. She has 2 dogs and 2 young kids and they lived above us. It was briefly stated in the ad, but we did not expect it to be such an issue. They constantly run and stomp causing a disturbance and at unreasonable hours in the morning (5-6AM). Imagine if someone dropped multiple bowling balls on your ceiling, and that's the approximate noise level we experienced on almost a daily basis. Her dogs bark a lot as well. The walls are very thin so you will hear every upstairs conversation and phone alarms. One of the bedroom has a water pipe in the room, so you will hear a lot of noise when anyone uses the bathroom. Her dogs live in the backyard, which is where our entrance. The dogs pee and poo everywhere and it is not picked up for several days. This is another health hazard. The backyard is unusable since the dogs cause a lot of mess. She showed the apartment to multiple future tenants while we were still living there. She came to store some weed cupcakes in our freezer so her kids wouldn't accidentally eat them. She was unwilling to give us an extra hour to check out.

Thank you for the feedback. Please communicate directly to your host during your next stay. 1. No one asked me for additional check out time. You could have had all day. I asked for the move out time to alert the cleaning crew and did not receive a response. 2. Overall the apartment was left clean. A lot of hair and trash were removed after vacating. 3. The maid service removed everything from the previous people and cleaned well. There were no used razor blades. New shaving blades were left in the bathroom for your convenience. 4. If I had been alerted to any and all issues they would have been resolved. 5. The house is older. You will hear water in the pipes and activity upstairs. We hear the activity downstairs also. 6. Agreed. The dogs are loud and messy. The puppy is new. She barks. The neighbors all around have dogs that bark too. We are working on training the puppy. Even with daily cleaning the yard is hard to keep up. 7. Thank you for your suggestion to not show the apartment. All appointments were made in advance. 8. The couch is less than a year old. It has been professionally cleaned twice. If there was any health related issue with the furniture or ANYTHING communication would have resolved it. 9. Please do not ring the doorbell at 1am when you misplace your keys. Call me ahead of time to meet you. 10. Yes, the gate combo lock is broken. I explained the new one is on order. Several times the dogs got loose when the older gate was left ajar. One dog was almost run over by a car. 11. Thank you for removing the dog that was placed inside the apartment without my knowledge or consent. This caused a major issue with the puppy and dogs upstairs. It woke my family. It was also a safety issue. Thank you, Vincent. And to emphasize, if I had known any of your concerns they would have been resolved and/or a hefty credit would have been issued.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and were not at the house very often. Our 3 main issues were that there really is not AC at the house and it was very hot at night. The floors were very dirty when we arrived. And there were dogs that lived upstairs that would start barking (5am) very early in the morning. The house has plenty of space and storage for clothes is great. We had 4 adults and 2 1 year olds and did not feel crowded.

Colleen was a great host, always checking-in making sure we were content. As an unexpected touch one day she left us some pastries and on another some fresh cut flowers. A very nice touch. The space was perfect for our family of four. We also liked the full-sized kitchen and laundry. If you are looking for an economical solution to a hotel room that is close to Ocean Beach, Mission Beach, and Sea World, check out Colleen's place and hospitality.

Colleen was a fantastic host to the 9 of us. She guided us throughout our stay in San Diego and helped us every step of the way. The apartment is spacious, clean and in a very convenient location with 711 around the corner and a 20 minute walk to the beach. I could not recommend this apartment more!

This is a great place, close to the beach, safe neighborhood and only a few minutes away from the airport. Colleen has been a great host and would definitely recommend this place for short/long term stay.
