Our house is within a 15 minute walk from the stadium, less than five to the Heavener School of Business, and we're well placed between midtown and downtown for access to bars and restaurants. You’ll love our home because of the location, architecture, artwork and decor, plus our comfy beds and private fenced in backyard. Our place is great for couples, business travelers, and families.
All our friends say, " Your place is so cozy and has great charm", and we agree. The 1938 features really add something nostalgic and we love the remodel. The updates fit in classically and at the same time, improve functionality and look.
For most guest, all rooms are open. We have a 3/2 and it's all up for use! We enjoy relaxing in the family room and I prefer a quite read in my sewing room/office. For eating, kitchen and dining room is best. And, don't forget our awesome front and back yard! The front has a screened in porch with bench and cafe table, the back has great charcoal grilling, table, swing and chairs galore.
Interaction with guests
Often, one of us (Joel or myself, Jennifer) will be in town depending on our work travel. We'll share our cell either way so we're only a phone-call away for any needs or questions.
Other things to note
Our house is not child-proof but for those not yet cruising or walking, it's plenty safe. We don't have any pets but if you have a tiny dog, we can make that work with a deposit.
I love building community and sharing experiences with friends. This shows up in everything I do, from my work work as an advisor to the art I create. I care about quality and enjoy making people feel welcomed. I think this comes my upbringing in Virginia and in Charleston, SC. Over the last few years I have had the opportunity to travel to a number of different countries and have experienced wonderful hospitality. Feel free to ask us about our friends we made in the Czech Republic and near the Pyrenees. I want to share this hospitality with others and that is why I am excited about being a Airbnb host.
Gainesville is really growing on me. Since my wife and I moved here six years ago I have got to explore a number of great places in the area and would be delighted to offer recommendations. We are super excited to be involved with our local church and have had the chance over the past year to work on a couple of remodel projects. One of which was the church space downtown, where we are genuinely seeking to be a part of the larger community by hosting events like Artwork. We hope you enjoy our home and it will be a place you can return to many times.
