This is an old Japanese style house used to be a Pawnshop. We still have the very heavy metal door like the one from a bank. We have renovated the house and opened in Oct 2016. The house is located near Tennoji station which is the 3rd biggest down town in Osaka which has many shopping malls, restaurants, tallest building in Japan, Tennoji park, museum, temples, etc. And it's only 2 stations from the biggest down town 'Namba' and Dotonbori area. There's a huge discount store close by.

The space

There are 7 rooms. Mostly 4-6 people mix dorm with bunk beds and some Japanese style private rooms with Japanese style futons. Air conditioners are in each rooms. There is a kitchen and living room where you can relax and meet people.

Guest access

There are big living room and a kitchen. There are games in the living room and there's a park in front of the house where you can relax.

Interaction with guests

There's staff from 10am to 10pm every day and they also live in the house so you can become good friends with them.

Other things to note

It's mostly dorm room means you'll be sharing a room with other people. There are bunk beds in the room.

Really clean and friendly people working there who are more than willing to help out. It's in a quiet place but the subway is quite near if and Namba station is just two stops away. Great value for what you pay for, I highly recommend staying here.

A really affordable and friendly place to stay in for a short 3D2N trip for myself. There is no problem encountered at all! The staff there were all very nice to talk to. Will definitely choose Peace House again for my next trip to Japan.

The great thing about this place is its budget price and close proximity to Tennoji station. There were many places to eat and drink at night. Showers and sinks were quite clean. Both are on the first floor of the place while all the tenants sleep on the second floor. Toilets are also on the 2nd floor. We had a smooth check in with the friendly Tim who gave us a short tour of the place. Some things my friend and I thought could improve were the odors in the house such as a strong shoe smell upon entering and the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways. The beds weren't the most comfortable but it suited us for a night before we left to the airport in the morning.
