Hi Ashley, thank you so much for taking the time to write about your stay and I would like to respond accurately to some of the comments which you left. First of all, you must have all been very tired after your long drive from England but you made good time arriving 4 hours earlier than scheduled at the property. Absolutely, it was very unfortunate that the mains water was cut off for maintenance purposes when you arrived on Thursday at 6.30 pm and didn't come on again until 10.30 am the following morning, but according to my calculations this was not a 2 day period even though it was turned off again for about one hour later on. In Spain, or at least in this area, we are never given notice prior to any maintenance or other problems which may affect comfortable living so it has become the norm to be flexible and accommodating, however, I am deeply sorry that this happened during your stay and I expressed this at the time. With regards to the diffuser, there were already two AirWick diffusers in use in the room and I didn't see any other foreign appliances. There is indeed sometimes a bad smell coming from the toilet but this is again out of my control, and I try to mask the smell with the AirWicks. These countryside properties are not on the mains sewage system but each has it's own septic tank; every effort is made to try to minimise any discomfort during any stay. If the rooms downstairs are kept in shade and the windows and doors open, the cool night air enables a good night sleep which is why air conditioning is not as necessary there as in other parts of the property. This also keeps the price of a stay as accessible to as many as possible as air conditioning in every room is expensive and I want to offer affordability, comfort and quality to all. I think it's important to remember that although there are many reasons to choose Spain as a holiday destination, there are surely as many to remind you that a holiday abroad will never be 'home from home'. All the very best!
