During your stay
Not very present but available as needed. During my free time I can be present in the house to repair, improve or make a fire in the wood stove and if possible share a drink or a meal with my hosts.

Other things to note

Towels not included!

Knowing that several rooms can be rented individually for a pleasant communal life made sure to leave clean and tidy around you or clean if necessary.

As indicated before the reservation, there is no way to lock the room door when you leave. However, you must be careful not to close it with the latch in the low position because you could find yourself locked outside of it

Please deposit your recycling in the sorting bins located 100m below the house during your stay

Please smoke outside under or on the terrace!!! And empty your ashtray when it's full

Some objects/furniture of sentimental and family value are stored here by members of our family, be careful not to damage them and respectful not to steal them.

If a few glasses, plates, or others are broken (which can happen, no worries!) Please replace them or leave a small stake to redeem afterwards. And above all, let me know!

Welcome ''Chez Georgette''. A family home for more than 50 years that we have managed between brothers since we inherited it at the end of 2013...So I came from Paris in 2014 to return to a more sensible life, to enjoy my beautiful native region that are the Hautes-Vosges and its pearl: Gérardmer. And most importantly, to give this holiday home all the love it had brought to us during our childhood We have - and are always in the process of - renovating our grandmother's home, Georgette, to be able to offer our guests an ergonomic design, a space in which to feel at home is our search and remains our ultimate goal for everyone. Being aware that we will not reach our grandmother's ankle as to the art of hosting! We are constantly improving the space...the goal is to share this place, the money is fully reinvested in the improvement of it! This house therefore evolves with the years and experience of the tenants and their feedback/improvements offered. The house is not mountain style but rather contemporary (hey yes the locals don't live among logs and old skis in wooden barns), decorated with homemade furniture with my elbow oil or/and with a local architect/artist friend, the atmosphere is a mix of bricks accumulated through my travels, works and objects with which our uncles, aunties and our mother grew up.
