This is a wonderful place to spend a few days. Beautiful cabin and friendly and accommodating hosts. Incredible lakefront and very convenient to have canoes and kayaks (note: there was no canoe paddle so we used kayak paddles which was ok but not ideal). Note that the kitchen is adequate to cook in BUT there were no supplies at all unlike most rentals I have stayed at where there are things like oils and odds and ends left behind. There were also very few plates, pots and pans etc. and no wine glasses or lobster pot though the hosts provided both upon request. Would definitely stay here again but would just bring a bit more in the way of cooking supplies. Very very nice place!

We could've asked for a lovelier place to spend our summer vacation with our two kids. Such a beautiful spot on the lake, and the house is new and clean.

Great cabin on a beautiful lake. Crystal clear water and easy swimming off the dock. Loved playing horseshoes and having fires. Easy to get to the local bar, tasty breakfast and great brisket just a walk down the street. Bedrooms are open concept in the loft space facing each other via cross walk. Cabin had all the modern amenities (minus wi-fi) and was comfortable. Would stay here again.

Our hosts made us feel very welcome, and even set up a fire for us in the wonderful fireplace. The cottage is beautiful & in a lovely setting on the peaceful lake. The views out all the doors & windows were gorgeous. It is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The 2 bedrooms are on either side of an upstairs loft that overlooks the downstairs. There aren't doors on the bedrooms, but for our purposes it was perfect. We loved sitting on the leather couch (with reclining seats) in front of the fire after a day of hiking. There are kayaks, a canoe, an outdoor firepit & even an outdoor sauna. The town of Monson is small & charming. We were there at the peak of the Fall foliage & it was breathtaking. We would highly recommend this cottage!

As we got to the house our eyes widened with disbelief of how beautiful and picturesque it and the lake beyond truly are. We were met met by our hosts who went out of their way to prepare us firewood in the fire pit while waiting to personally greet us. They were warm, welcoming and felt like friends pretty much right away. These are people I would hang out with if I lived in Monson, ME. They showed us the entire house. The photos do not represent how amazing it is. The kitchen is out of this world and fully stocked with everything you'd need. The whole place is made of smooth sanded wood, there's a fire place, beautiful antique pieces like cast iron stove (there's a reg. stove for day to day cooking). The bedrooms are up a spiral staircase and are a mirror image of each other on opposite sides of the loft. Really comfortable beds. Where I slept solid and deep. Out the back sliding doors, down a grassy hill is the rest of what makes this listing paradise... Lake Hebron is breath taking. Our hosts allowed us true use of what is there's in that they provided Kayaks and a peddle boat to use on the lake, a fire pit, their propane grill, a wonderful deck and the once in a lifetime (for some people) experience of making your very own sauna. It's a small house structure with a bench on one wall with an antique cast iron stove in the far corner. Brad explained how to make the fire in the stove (always providing all the wood) and then ladle water onto the top to create steam. We did it at night, it was totally awesome!!! The first night we laid on the deck on the water staring at the entire Milky Way, listening to the coyotes howl and the whipper wills answer them in the distance. The next day we Kayaked for hours with hardly any people around us, but those we did see were incredibly friendly. We stayed for two days, but wished it was more because this place was really a paradise listing. If you have the chance to stay here, do not miss out. Brad and Chanda are wonderful people and they offer a once in a lifetime experience for a lot of people.
