Our place is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a great base to explore the Lakes, the coast, the Yorkshire Dales and the Trough of Bowland. It is close to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, and public transport. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). There are 3 pubs, 5 churches, a shop, garage, doctors, pharmacy and a Take-away.The more days you stay the cheaper the daily rate.

The space

The Quarters is unique due to having ethical winter and summer rates, its fantastic accessibility specification, and we also accept pets happily at no extra charge.
In a central but tranquil village location, down a quiet lane with a garden with a stream, and no parking issues- we have a large private car-park.
The Lune valley in which the Quarters is situated is flat, with good cycle paths which take you to Lancaster, and beyond to Glasson dock, or Morecambe, completely off road.
Sue and Ray live close by ! You need another casserole dish ? You will have one

Guest access

The Quarters is designed specifically for spacious self-catering ground floor apartment. There are 2 bedrooms, a spacious living room with a double sofa-bed, and a luxurious wet-room. all of the apartment has been designed for wheel-chair access. There is a garden, with a stream, specifically for your use. A good place to have a barbeque!

Interaction with guests

We live next door so are on hand to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Although there is a key safe so you can arrive anytime after 2pm, if you know the approximate time of your arrival then we endeavour to be there to welcome you and show you in.

Other things to note

You can normally access the apartment after 2 pm, although if travelling by car you can leave the car parked up earlier and explore the local area. Check-out time is usually 10am. You can access the key when you arrive at anytime after 2pm so you don't need to worry if you are late or delayed.

Second time we've stayed here as a family - mum, dad + 3 teens along with our two furry friends. This stay was just as good as the first, although we didn't have the pleasure of meeting the hosts this time. Once again everything perfect for our stay

It was great to host this family. We often get families breaking up their journey when heading north or south as we are in a great village with good amenities very close to junction 34. You can arrive anytime after 2pm, day or night, and let yourselves in and help yourself to the wine/tea/coffee/milk available on arrival.

Stayed at The Quarter for couple of nights to complete Three Peaks Challenge - Ray and Sue both very friendly and welcoming, good communication, easy check-in, plenty of information, ideal location, good value, lovely village and a surprise bottle of wine too. Thanks!

It was our pleasure to host these 5 happy, determined people! even in lousy weather they conquered the 3 peaks challenge. If you like the outdoors then we are ideally placed for walking/climbing/sailing/birdwatching/golf etc. We take groups of 6 and the floors are wooden or tiled so you don't have to worry about muddy clothes and boots. After a tough day out you can soak in our large corner bath or wash away the aches and pains in our wet room.

Ray's place is convenient for anyone travelling on the M6 to break their journey a few miles off the motorway. It has private parking. The village has a late closing shop. We look forward to returning.
