About this listing
My place is very close to the charming Christianshavn, unique Christiania, and just 5 min cycle to the old town. You’ll love it because of its coziness and the perfect blend of modern and old details in the house.
Also, you will enjoy the comfort of staying in the city centre with great transport options (4 min walk to a metro station). There is a free parking zone nearby (150 m—see photos).
My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
The apartment is on 4th floor without an elevator, but—thanks to that—there is a lot of light in the room and the view is nice.
A big room is available to the guests. Apart from the double sofa, you will have a large dining/working table, a sofa-table, and an "open" wardrobe where you can hang your clothes. Besides the room, there is a fully-equipped kitchen—which you are welcomed to use—and a bathroom with shower.
You can always find some free tea, coffee, and cookies in the kitchen!
The apartment was recently renovated, but it maintains its retro style.
Interaction with guests
I am always happy to tell you a bit about Denmark and recommend some nice places in Copenhagen, but I respect your privacy.
My neighbourhood is a great starting place for Copenhagen sightseeing. The apartment is very close to the old town and even closer to the charming Christianshavn district, which was created to resemble Amsterdam and its canals.
It takes 20–30 minutes to walk to the exact centre of the old town and it is a nice route, since on the way there is:
– Christainshavn district,
– Knippelsbro bridge,
– Great view of Copenhagen harbour with highlights, such as the new Opera and the Black Diamont library,
– Børsen—stock exchange, which is located in one of the oldest buildings in Copenhagen)
– Christiansborg Palace, where the Danish Parlament is placed.
You can see the route on one of the photos.
Of course, if you prefer, you can take a bus, which stops just 50 m from the house and takes you directly to the old town in 5 min.
The apartment is close to Christianshavn and Amagerbro metro stations (about 5 min walk to both of them), from where there is a direct connection to the airport. Hence, it takes about 20 minutes to get from the airport terminal to the apartment (check www journeyplanner dk for details).
Only about 50 m from my house, there is a bus stop with direct line to the main train station, Tivoli gardens, Glyptoteket, Christiansborg palace, and the old town. Public transport is very good around here, so you can easily get to everywhere in Copenhagen. Consider buying a City Pass if you plan to travel frequently by public transport (check citypass dk website for details).
If you would like to cycle in Copenhagen, then next to the metro station, there are public bicycles for rent.
Other things to note
If you need to wash clothes, there is a public laundromat in a building next to mine. You can do your washing and drying there for about 6€.

I'm a railway engineer, but I love to travel by all means of transport ;) I enjoy visiting new places, especially those that are not obvious touristic destinations. I will be happy to meet you and talk about travelling. I will be happy to introduce you to Copenhagen and recommend some interesting places.
