Tophouse and the Mountain View Cottages are situated on a hill 7 Km's from the alpine village of Saint Arnaud.
The Mountain View Cottages sit apart from Tophouse Historical Inn which was built in 1887 and steeped in history. A must look. The cottages face the Saint Arnaud Ranges and afford beautiful and peaceful views.
The Historical Cob Inn also has a cafe which offers Devonshire teas open most weekends
We love welcoming people from all over to enjoy this unique experience with us
Each cottage is self contained with a kitchen ,dining table and sofa all in one room which is cosy for 1-4 people .The bedrooms are divided by a hall with a bathroom ,separate toilet in between .There are 2 bedrooms ,a Queen/double bed in one room and a twin in the other. Each cottage looks a different way which gives each cottage privacy from each other but all have a wonderful view of the mountains. They are very warm and insulated and all have heaters and electric blankets in each. One cottage has a bunk in the twin room which is suitable for families with 3 children (or 3 adults with a squeeze.)
Travellers are free to walk around our property ,we own 5 hectares, we have chooks that wander around and 2 geese over in the fenced off chook house and pond . Come and ask us and we will tell you of a few good walks near us worth doing. You can drive your car right up and park in front of the cottage you are staying in parking is not a problem. Miles and I live in Tophouse the Historical Cob Inn , the cottages are situated just behind the Inn ,you are welcome to come and have a look around and spend a bit of time in our dining room and learn about the old days of Tophouse ,it has a bit of a coloured history! We have a Cafe in the dining room most weekends in the winter and summer.
