This little gem of an apartment has everything you'll need for your trip to the Colorado Springs area. It's tucked into the foothills of a lovely community and gives you the "quiet cabin" feel. We loved our time there for a long weekend getaway without the kids!

First of all. This apartment was perfect! It is described as an apartment in the trees. This is exactly what it is! We felt like we were nestled up in the mountains. The view from the balcony was incredible. The apartment was clean, comfortable and cozy! Everything that you might need is close by: a grocery store, restaurants, gas stations and a wonderful brewery! This is a great central location. We went into Colorado Springs most of the days that we were there. It was a short 15 minute drive! The hosts are very warm and welcoming but also great about providing you with privacy! We would not think twice about staying here again! This place was perfect for our vacation!

We loved our stay here - just wish we had more time to enjoy it! The apartment was just perfect for our short stay, and would have been great for a much longer one. It has all the necessities (including coffee and tea) plus some unexpected amenities, like a package of Walkers Shortbread awaiting us. We did not get to meet the hosts, but they communicated everything we needed to know. Highly recommended!

Great location - in a neighborhood within walking distance of hiking, restaurants and stores. The apartment was comfortable, private, well-lit and supplied with many amenities, including laundry products, which I thought was especially thoughtful. Nancy and John were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely great stay at John and Nancy's. Perfectly equipped and super comfy bed. Charming location and close to a friendly and delightful downtown. Got great recommendations from John and Nancy about a breakfast spot just down the road. Close enough to Denver to be accessible but far enough away to have seclusion. The private entrance made it feel like our own space. Even though we didn't get to meet John and Nancy, their hospitality shone through.

John and Nancy's place is a very nice and quiet. It's very close to both Denver and Colorado Springs. I would recommend this place for a small family looking for a nice and quiet place to stay. I wouldn't recommend this place for someone that has problems going upstairs as the entrance to the apartment requires going up a flight. John was super helpful via text and voice call. We got there after dark so it was a bit hard to find the place, but a quick call to John reaffirmed my location.

Thanks for staying here, and also reminding us to include more specific directions for anyone arriving at night! We do have the fact that it's an upstairs apartment and may not be accessible for some guests listed in the information in 3 different areas of the description, so hopefully people read all the information about the apartment before they confirm a reservation. You're welcome back any time!

Had a wonderful stay at Nancy and John’s place. Palmer lake is beautiful and was a convenient location for me to visit friends in Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. The hike up to the reservoirs was marvelous and a few small cafes and shops are easy to walk to. The house was comfortable and I enjoyed the beautiful view and deck for my morning tea. I plan to come again and would recommend to anyone.

We are married and have 2 adult children, one in Fort Collins, CO and one in Portland, Oregon. Nancy is a half time support services teacher and John is an artist and former screenprint company owner. We've lived in Palmer Lake since 1981, and love our small town at the edge of the mountains. We have national forest at the end of the street to the west and the lake 2 blocks to the east. We absolutely loved raising our kids here with so many outdoor things to do, while still being only 5 minutes from Monument and I-25 where the stores and more restaurants are. We adore watching the wildlife that wanders through, especially the hummingbirds and deer. Did you know that the deer will eat the pumpkins after Halloween is over? We also love being able to walk to several restaurants and the best ice cream shop ever, as well as a public library and the annual activities at the Village Green in front of the town hall.
