The shepherd's hut is located in its own private paddock opposite the Sugar Loaf, Abergavenny with great views of the Black Mountains. Cosy and comfortable all year round with a log burner in the hut and a heated washroom with shower and WC. Outside is an oak decked pergola with seating, BBQ and firepit. Wild flower meadow and parking. You’ll love my place because it's quiet, with dark skies and great walking straight from your door.

A very comfortable and cozy hut with nice extras like fresh bread. Great location for walking and friendly hosts but also very private.

The location was absolutely perfect - even better than described! We were spoiled for choice with walks around the black mountains, and only a short drive (a slightly more ambitious walk) from the charming town of Crickhowell. The hosting was fab - Carol and George were attentive…

We had a lovely weekend in Carol and George's shepherds hut. A very warm welcome in a beautiful part of Wales with loads of walks on the door step. The place was better equipped than a lot of places we have stayed in. We can't wait to go back!

Moved here to the Black Mountains a few years ago after many years of living and working in London. Love the change of lifestyle and pace.
