The space

The Cider House is part of a medieval farmyard, is about 300 years old. It was converted to residential in 2010, it still has the original cider press in the sitting room and is full of character. We also have a wood burning stove for cosy winter evenings. Two very large bedrooms both with 'zip and link' super king beds and a further single.

Guest access

You have your own private space with terrace and BBQ but you are welcome to wander around our 8 acres and say hello to our donkey, shetland pony, Tori dog, bees and our sheep!

The Cider House was an absolute treat, and really luxurious with great views. Richard to host and his family were really hospitable. It exceeded our expectations.

Richard has done a wonderful job of restoring the farmhouse and outbuildings. The Cider House that we were in was really well set up. Beautiful rooms, comfy beds and all very well set up. We had a lovely time exploring Glastonbury and surrounds, but also spending a lovely sunny morning sitting in the attached outside area, reading and chatting. Richard is a great host, really helpful, but also you very much have your own space too. Highly recommended.

About Richard

Hi,
I spend my working life in the wine trade and love travel, good wine and good food. I am also passionate about music. I bought the medieval Old Farm in 2006 as a complete wreck at an auction and have spent the last 10 years renovating it, I guess it's my hobby. It's a stunningly beautiful place and naturally leads people to relax. The oldest part is over 650 years old, so I know that I am just 'looking after it'. I love to see people relaxing and enjoying this beautiful place too.
We've got the ever friendly Tori Dog, a donkey, Shetland pony, 9 sheep and 1000's of bees! If I'm doing anything with them you are welcome to watch or even get involved if you want!
