The Cider House is part of Old Farm, a unique medieval farmyard dating from 1345, once owned by Glastonbury Abbey. It's a peaceful environment in beautiful surroundings with stunning views of Glastonbury Tor.
The village pub within easy walking distance and open country side to explore.

The space
The Cider House is part of a medieval farmyard, is about 300 years old. It was converted to residential in 2010, it still has the original cider press in the sitting room and is full of character. We also have a wood burning stove for cosy winter evenings. Two very large bedrooms both with 'zip and link' super king beds and a further single.

Guest access
You have your own private space with terrace and BBQ but you are welcome to wander around our 8 acres and say hello to our donkey, shetland pony, Tori dog, bees and our sheep!

Location

West Pennard, England, United Kingdom

Old Farm was originally owned by Glastonbury Abbey and sits about a 40 min walk across the fields to Glastonbury Tor, reputedly the birthplace of Christianity in England and the burial place of King Arthur. The whole area is steeped in history and spirituality, and whatever you spiritual views are Glastonbury town is really worth a visit but be warned you you'll find endless energy crystals but will struggle to find a light bulb!
Wells, England's smallest city, is a 15 min drive away, lovely and full of independent shops. The city of Bath is about a 45 min drive away and is stunning.

Hi, I spend my working life in the wine trade and love travel, good wine and good food. I am also passionate about music. I bought the medieval Old Farm in 2006 as a complete wreck at an auction and have spent the last 10 years renovating it, I guess it's my hobby. It's a stunningly beautiful place and naturally leads people to relax. The oldest part is over 650 years old, so I know that I am just 'looking after it'. I love to see people relaxing and enjoying this beautiful place too. We've got the ever friendly Ivy Dog, a donkey, Shetland pony, 11 sheep and 1000's of bees! If I'm doing anything with them you are welcome to watch or even get involved if you want!
