Waterfront living in the heart of the arts, culture, civic and business centre of New Zealand's capital city. Shed 21 – a Wellington landmark – was the "grandest woolshed in the country" before conversion into spacious apartments in 2002 under the direction of acclaimed architect Sir Ian Athfield. Our double guest bedroom, large living and dining space, and modern kitchen will be yours to enjoy. We love hosting and look forward to your stay. Nau mai, haere mai!
Shed 21 is a Category I Historic Place converted by a celebrated local architect in 2002. Our apartment has a large double height living space looking over the city, generous dining area, modern kitchen, and lots of sun. Upstairs on the mezzanine floor there are two double bedrooms - master and guest - and the main bathroom. This is modern living in the city.
Kitchen, living, dining, toilet and laundry downstairs and to the guest bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Everywhere except the master bedroom. Help yourself to the kitchen if you feel like cooking.
Interaction with guests
We work during the week and are out and about on weekends. If you want space, we're happy to give it, but if you want to join us for dinner or a glass of wine then that's fine too.
Seb and I live and work in central Wellington. I love talking about New Zealand history, arts, architecture, politics and the best cafes, restaurants, galleries and things to do in Wellington.
