Where you’ll be

Canisbay, Scotland, United Kingdom

From the amazing wildlife to the stunning scenery, Gills Bay and the amazing coast around it will take your breath away at every turn. Walk the coast, discover the bays and beaches, or use it as a starting point or resting stop on your way around the North Coast 500 route!
The famous landmark at John O Groats is 5 miles East and maxi day tours to Orkney are offered here for approx £79 per person with John O Groat Ferry. This is a fantastic trip and I highly recommend it to anyone coming this far North.
The late Queen Mothers home, The Castle of Mey is 3 miles West with the mainland UK's most Northern point at Dunnet Head, a further 6 miles along the coastal road.

My husband and I are semi-retired and love travelling and discovering new places. My husband Barry is a keen fisherman while I love watching wildlife, in particular whales, dolphins and sharks, which are found all around the coast here.
Saw a quote somewhere that said " there are no strangers in this world, only friends you have not met yet" which pretty much sums up how we think.
We have been very lucky to meet many lovely people on our travels who have enriched our experience of where we have been and who we continue to get to know after coming home, it makes life so much more interesting!
We look forward to meeting everyone who comes to stay with us.
