Cute, recently renovated, apt in a Cape Cod house on a quiet street. We are next to Long Pond, which is great for swimming & you may use our kayak. You can walk or bike the one mile to Craigville Beach, or use the included beach sticker to explore all Barnstable beaches for free. The apt is private, with its own parking, entrance, and outdoor space, including lighted patio. We live in the apt above & have compiled a list of things we love to see & do, so we can make your Cape Cod trip more fun!

The space

This space is an apartment with easy access to fresh and salt water. It is air conditioned and heated. You will also have your own private deck on which to relax. This is a separate apartment below our main living quarters. You will likely hear us during normal family waking hours, but we are not a rowdy bunch! There is a kayak for your use along with life jackets. Craigville Beach is one mile away and easily walkable. The walk will take you past the famous Four Seas Ice Cream shop and the charming town of Centerville. The Old Country Store and Centerville library are other fun stops on your Cape Cod adventure. A beach pass is available which allows you to explore all the Barnstable beaches at no cost.

Guest access

You will have access to an entire apartment which has been recently renovated. There is a separate entrance and a private deck for your use. Private off street parking is included as well.

Interaction with guests

The apartment upstairs is where our family lives. We are happy to help you with any questions or sight seeing information. The neighborhood is very sociable with people out and about, even visiting across the fences and yards. We would love for you to visit with us, or if you wish to have a more quiet and private vacation, that is fine too.

Other things to note

There are a few dogs in the neighborhood but none in our house or our apartment. Occasionally there will be people fishing down at the landing as the pond is great for bass. If you are into fishing, bring your gear and enjoy. Also take care when driving on our street, go slowly. There are more than a few kids and they may be in the road or passing between houses and we have very little traffic on the road.

Robyn and Michael were great hosts. They had great recommendations, and they were available if we needed anything. The unit was stocked with almost every you need for a weekend. They were friendly and unobtrusive, and we had a super relaxing weekend. It is a quiet neighborhood, so not for the party animals, but we were just looking to unplug so it worked well for us.

Robyn's place was a great stay - and a great value for the area. Comfy area, nice lighting, close proximity for driving to get food or go to the beach! Wish we had had time to take the kayak out - but definitely a bonus that this place comes with a nice water toy :)

Robyn's apartment was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The decor and outside space was also very inviting. It is in a lovely natural setting with easy access to town and attractions. We would definitely choose it again and recommend it to fellow travelers.

Robyn and Michael's place is great and the perfect place to explore Cape Cod from. It's right on a lake (they let us use their kayak!), they shared their very valuable parking pass with us for the beaches, and they thought of all the little details. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Perfect place to stay on the cape. On a quiet street with access to the lake. Comfortable and clean apartment with kitchen equipped with plates, cups, silverwear and even a dishwasher to clean up. Although we didn't get to enjoy the private deck or beach pass it's a nice plus if the weather permits. Plenty of provided books, games and a few puzzles for a rainy day. Short drive to many beaches, shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend.

We loved the privacy and quiet but friendly neighborhood. Michael and Robyn were wonderful hosts. You can see the lake shore from out in the driveway it is that close to put the kayak in if you want. We took a quick swim in it and the water was clean and the bottom sandy with some small rocks. The little back deck was relaxing in the sun and private and pretty with flowers and herbs and solar lights. The apartment was fresh and inviting. There are a variety of books to read and a good selection f games to play. Robyn and Michael we're quick to answer any needs or questions. The first night the bedroom door was a little squeeky and woke the baby up when I went to check on him. In minutes of the request Michael brought down some WD-40 and the problem was fixed. Having a kitchen and fridge helped save on meal costs. There is an ice cream and sandwhich place and playground and what looked like a fun country store within walking distance. The beaches we went to were about a 15 minute drive depending on traffic and they were nice. The beach pass is awesome to have! It was a bit chilly so we didn't stay too long at the ocean since we had a 10 month old with us. We hope to stay here again next year!

Robyn includes a beach pass and that was super awesome because we went to 3 different beaches while we were there - and if we didn't have the pass we would have had to pay $20 at each beach! The house is spacious - and it has a full fridge, dishwasher, and oven so you can cook if you want to. We made breakfast once but that was about it. Her husband and daughter came down when we first arrived to show us how to operate lights, etc. and it was nice to meet them. I would definitely recommend!

I have been living on the Cape for 20 years, my husband Mike has been here for over 30 years. All of our children were born here. So not only are they all Cape natives, but they were all born Ready. Our family motto is Prognatus Paratus.
We travel as much as possible and we rent homes or condos from other individuals wherever we go. Michael and I are very relaxed as hosts, and very self-sufficient as guests. We enjoy meeting new people and learning about other places and cultures.
