Our place is a quaint little 370 sq ft cottage that was built in the 1930's. It sits right on Pettingill Pond and has its own dock. It also has a completely renovated Minnie Winnie as a guest bedroom. It is 35 minutes to Portland, Maine and is a stones throw to Sebago Lake and Little Sebago Lake.
It is important to me that everyone who stays has a wonderful visit! Because of that, I want to be sure to point out a few quirky things about our little cottage so that I can be sure that our guests know exactly what to expect. This cabin has no separate bedroom. It is all one open space with a large king sized bed as well as a futon sofa that could be used for kids. There is no privacy between the futon and king sized bed, so this may not be comfortable for two adult couples. The only private space with a bed is our "guest bedroom" in the Minnie Winnie. The Minnie Winnie does not have its own bathroom however. The only shower is an outside shower, and the only heat source is a small space heater. It is truly a seasonal cabin and we love that about it!
The cottage is five minutes to grocery stores and anything else you could possibly need. You have many options for hiking, including Sebago Lake land reserve biking/walking trails. We are also 20 minutes to Naples where there is plenty to do with kids and plenty of good restaurants to choose from. There is plenty of private parking.
We have two stand up paddle boards and a canoe available for guests to use. Please bring life jackets for the kids. We have a few adult life jackets available.
Interaction with guests
We are always available by phone, text, or email with any questions you may have.
Please respect our wonderful neighbors and keep the noise down after 9:00 P.M.
We do not allow campfires or fireworks. Use of either will result in loss of security deposit.
You must bring your own life-jackets for children and they must be wearing them at all times when using the canoe or paddle boards.
Please use only earth friendly shower products as our outdoor shower is very close to the pond. Our pond is lovely and we want to keep it that way. Chemicals can destroy ponds. We love our dogs and want you to be able to bring tours along. We ask that you please pick up after your pet and dispose of it properly.
