Nipton is the gateway community to the Mojave National Preserve, 1.4 million acres of beautiful California desert and solitude.

The eco-lodges are comfy rustic with basic clean accommodations. You drive right up and instantly you are camping in a beautiful secure remote location without any hassle. It is a perfect base from which to explore the Mojave National. The nights are very magical with unsurpassed star gazing and weather permitting campfires. Staying in remote Nipton is unique.

This is an awesome place to stay! It’s located close to the Mojave for exploring and is still a short drive from Vegas. There is art installed in Nipton which is fun to explore. The train was loud but manageable with ear plugs. We were there in December so it was pretty cold but …

Cute, but definitely a chilly night. If you are hypersensitive to cold, either come prepared or stay inside at the hotel. (There is a wood burning stove that we used, which definitely helped, but I was really glad that I brought my warmest PJs.) Photos make it look a little more…

Crazy place! Super friendly hosts and bizarre location. we loved it. The little cafe is great too and very welcoming. Trains are noisy but that is all part of the charm of Nipton!
