This place is well worth a visit if you love the outdoors. We are travelling through California and staying in hotels and homes but fancied something different this lived up to expectations The hospitality was exceptional and the views of the stars were great

Amazing place to stay. The trains whilst noisy are fascinating to see and over a mile long. The sunrise and set were incredible.

Incredible location - stunning views of Mojave National Preserve and there's something quite special about these huge trains that go hurtling by. The tent was great but it was incredibly windy when we were there - obviously not their fault - but my kids didn't find it particularl…

Response from Hotel:
Amy, So sorry about the weather, especially for your children - the wind in the desert in the spring is unpredictable. When it is windy like that and staying in a tented cabin, it is like a sand/dirt storm inside! Today is a beautiful calm day! Wish we would have know about not getting the wood stove up to temperature. We routinely help the inexperienced get it started. Thank you for visiting the Mojave!

If your looking for magic with an edge, than Nipton is the place for you. A friendly, historical little railroad town. We stayed here for two nights at the end of july and were the only guest (low season because of the heat). The eco cabin is basic, but nice. Clean sheets and tow…
