This was an amazing get away for our little family. The greatest part about Leah's place was that we could bring our pups. We kayaked with them and did little hikes. It was so peaceful. It was only 30 minutes to TC so that was perfect for an evening dinner at the filling station microbrewery and an hour to the dunes. It was just isolated enough. Will definitely be back

Our family of 6 had a wonderful get-away for a long weekend in South Boardman. Cabin was on a quiet and small lake. Teenagers enjoyed the pool table and kayaks. Several small bass were caught from the row boat. Campfires each evening and a beautiful starry sky. Leah was a very accommodating host and the cabin had all the basics for a rustic weekend away. Would not hesitate to recommend a stay here.

A lovely cabin in the woods, with everything you could want for a family getaway--a lake, kayaks and boats, games, and peace and quiet. Perfect place to take a break from devices and busyness. Thank you!

The cabin and lake are lovely. My only concern was that the owner is currently selling the property and had a realtor come with a family without my consent. It was a big intrusion of what should have been a relaxing vacation and time to get away. Other potential renters should know this before renting. Otherwise, good experience.

A nice rustic cabin with all of the basic amenities - kitchen with appliances, tv and vcr (with lots of old movies), pool table and a cute pinball machine. The real gem was the lake, the private dock, and the lake toys - kayaks, row boat, paddle boat. There was a nice area with a fire pit too. Communication was good and the location, while very remote, wasn't too far (30 mins) to Traverse City. We also took day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinaw Island. Overall, a very relaxing family getaway that we will remember for years.

Leah's place was absolutely beautiful! The kayaks we our favorite! We got to see so many turtles and even caught one, but released it. The place was private enough, and nobody around bothered us. There were a lot of bugs, but you're upnorth, so that's to be expected. This was the best family vacation my family had in a long time, and we never wanted to leave! Thanks so much for a great get away!
