Driftwood @Botany Bay is a Airbnb tucked away cabin located in Kingsgate, Broadstairs. A 2 minute walk to the famous sandy beach of Botany Bay, of the top beach's in the UK. Part of the Viking Coastal Path, a route of 32 miles that wraps around the Thanet’s coast,with seaside towns to hidden beautiful rural villages.

The space
The cabin offers 105 metres of your own living space and was built to accommodate people with mobility issues, as all areas are accessible on same level which consists of a modelled bathroom with fitted grab bars, an oversized walk-in shower with seat, a hair dryer with shaving point and even a mirror fitted with blue tooth.
The lounge/kitchen comes with a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave/oven, and a tabletop hob, kettle and toaster which is provided for convenience should you decide not to venture out, there is a compact, pull-out small table with two stools, a 42-inch TV and a big comfy sofa.
Coffee, Tea, sugar and fresh milk are included
We supply a welcome basket for those staying 4 days or more, containing the basics such as-

The double bedroom has generous hanging space for clothes as well as a second 42-inch TV. The TVs are equipped with Netflix, ITV plus, Prime TV and so forth.
All bed linen, two dressing gowns and bathroom towels/beach towels are provided. Please do not take the bathroom towels to the beach.
A Passcode will be sent on conformation of your stay which will open the cabin and the storage unit pad lock. There is a large decking area with your very own Patio Bistro table with chairs plus gravity sun loungers.
There is a storage shed for your bikes or hirer bikes (Deal 25% off plus free delivery from local Bike Hire store), golfclubs, wheelchair, body board and any other equipment you wish to bring to protect. Surf Boards can be placed in our garage if you wish. For convenience, the code for the cabin and store shed are the same and changed on each visit.
The whole of the cabin and decking area has WIFI.
From the entrance there is a small, elevated, steep ramp as the garden is on two levels.

Please be warned there is currently a skip on the drive.
Instructions
• Park on the drive on the left side, next to the wood fence. This is your space when you come and go
• The entrance to the house is to your right (not the wooden door to the left in front of you)
• Go down the side of the house to a wooden gate by the skip (at the moment)
• The wooden gate will be unlocked, go though it into the rear garden.
• Go in, past the blue shed
• Here will be a small ramp in front of you and you will be able to see your home for the next few days
• Up the ramp and go down the path to the cabin. In dull weather or night time, security lights will light up.
• Facing the cabin, the key safe is on your left on the summerhouse wall facing the cabin. It is a grey metal box. In dull weather or night-time, security lights will light
• Facing the cabin to your right, the key will fit the second French Door nearest the high bush.
• Use the key on the unlock of the right door on this set of the French Doors.

What’s to do?
Why not attempt the Viking Coastal Trail on foot or you can hire a bike or bring your own and top up your energy at one of the many pubs and eateries along the way, breathing in the sea air to build up that appetite.
Victors can enjoy smaller walks along the beach form Kingsgate east into Broadstairs & Ramsgate or west into Margate. The beaches are sandy and flat, and the tide goes out a long way revealing rock pools full of crabs and shellfish. Always check the tide before your walk along the beach and be careful on the rocks which are very slippery.
For Golfers we have North Foreland Golf Club Restaurant on our door step. Visitors are welcome to come and experience North Foreland Golf Club and enjoy a round on their Main Course. There is also a fun and relaxed 18-hole course suitable for all ages and abilities.
By Transport (car, bus or train) Driftwood @Botany Bay Airbnb gives many opportunities to visit such places as Dover castle located on the famous White Cliffs of Dover, not to forget Leeds and Hever castles.
Visit Penhurst Palace, a Tudor mansion dating back to 14th century. Sissinghurst Castle and gardens designed by Vita Sacviille-West, friend and lover of Virginia Wolf.
Why not go on safari at Port Lympne Reserve which is very different from a conventional zoo, and we ensure that here, the animals always come first. You will have fantastic time and is noted to be Kent’s best days out, whilst not forgetting the primary reason which is to ensure the survival of endangered animals. The Reserve is a breeding sanctuary for rare and endangered species. In the UK, it is the most successful breeders of Clouded Leopards and the Brazza Monkeys, and one of the western lowland gorillas and fishing cats in the world. Wherever possible, they return animals born at Port Lympne, to protected areas of their natural habitat around the world.
Visit Canterbury with its famous Cathedral. Go to an old fashion Tea Room and experience an English Cream Tea or row your own boat on the river Stour, also known as the Great Stour which flows through the city in several strands and is a key part of Canterbury's history and heritage. Wander through the old Canterbury and soak up a past time in history with its old buildings and narrow, cobbled streets or do a little shopping in the new modern shopping centre. The Marlow Theatre in Canterbury entertains many West End, London productions so it’s worth seeing what is currently playing.
For Kent English Sparking wine, known to get awards above French Champagne, visit the Vineyards and for British ale, there are Hop Farms brewing Kentish ales.
We are 5 mins drive or £7.00 Taxi ride to Broadstairs train station with parking where you will find the Eurostar high-speed train which offers a convenient and efficient way to travel between the UK and France, connecting London with Paris, Lille, Brussels, and Amsterdam, You can also take a trip to Ashford and spend your cash at the Ashford Retail park where you will find famous brands of clothing, shoes and other items heavily reduced.
Broadstairs is a charming seaside resort on the Kent coast, and the home of Charles Dickins. Viking Bay boasts cafes, restaurants and Micro Pubs. From chippy’s (Fish and Chip shop) to a Michelin Fish restaurant on the promenade you can look over a golden sandy beach. A famous Ice cream parlour with out of this world choice of ice cream to tempt the pallet. Micro pub flowing over with different Kentish Ales, with visiting ales on tap and on many occasions have live music during the afternoon & evening.
Joss Bay offers a surfing school with rolling waves that have long made waveriders and jet ski rider’s smile.

There are two restaurant/pubs along this part of the trail, one that will welcome your dog. You will come across a golf course which accepts visitors and also has a restaurant open to the public.
Ramsgate Royal Harbour, a scenic harbour lined with an array of boats, surrounded by cafes and bars. Or adventure down the 150-year-old Victorian Railway. Tunnels used in World War Two, lay under the town of Ramsgate and these can be accessed via organised tours. Ramsgate is proud to have the only Royal Harbour in the UK. There is an array of sail boats and the remaining small boats that went over to Dunkirk to rescue soldiers in the 2nd world war. The local Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) crewed by unpaid volunteers that save many visitors each year is based here and is open to visitors. The harbour is surrounded by restaurants and bars galore and is well worth a visit.
