Sleeps 16–18 | 100-Acre Luxury Heritage Estate
A beautifully restored 7-bedroom historic retreat in Ireland’s Boyne Valley, near Slane, set on 100 acres of rolling gardens, ancient woodland, riverside trails and heritage farmland. Just 45 minutes from Dublin Airport and 17 minutes from Newgrange.

Ideal for family and friends, private and group stays, corporate and wellness retreats, pre & post wedding stays and special celebrations — a unique countryside setting to come together and unwind.

The space
The newly refurbished Main House at Parsonstown Estate has been meticulously restored, blending the character and heritage of the original residence with the comfort, elegance and finish of a luxury country retreat.

With seven beautifully appointed bedrooms, six with private ensuites, expansive interiors and multiple refined reception rooms, the house comfortably accommodates 16–18 guests, offering generous space for gathering together while still ensuring privacy and quiet moments of retreat.

For larger groups, or for those seeking complete exclusivity across the estate, please see our Guest Access section for additional accommodation options.

Outside, guests can enjoy a private hot tub, tennis court and golf buggy, along with approximately 4km of private walking trails throughout the 100-acre estate. Follow the River & Forest Trail, wander the Pond Loop, or explore the Walled Garden Triangle, taking in woodland, river, farmland and the ever-changing landscape of Parsonstown along the way.

Health Farm Experience - Coming October 2026

Our Outdoor Health Farm & Wellness experience will evolve into a bespoke, luxury wellness sanctuary, building on the existing hot tub with the addition of a sauna, ice baths, plunge pool, outdoor showers and elegant changing facilities. Designed around the restorative ritual of hot and cold therapy, the entire wellness area will be thoughtfully set within the natural landscape, offering sweeping 180-degree views across woodland and rolling green fields, with the evening sun setting over the countryside — a truly serene setting to unwind, recharge and reconnect with nature. This exceptional new addition further elevates the estate’s focus on wellbeing, nature-led relaxation and refined outdoor living.

The Farmhouse
Launching in 2027, The Farmhouse @ Parsonstown Estate, will provide a beautifully designed, self-contained multi-purpose space on the grounds of the Estate, complete with its own toilets and servery area.

Designed to complement a stay in the Main House, The Farmhouse will offer a flexible setting for indoor yoga and wellness sessions, corporate meetings and workshops, exercise classes, afternoon tea, remote working and private group dining.

It will also provide an inspiring space for writers, poets, artists and creatives — whether used as a writing studio, artist sanctuary, recording space or creative retreat. With the wider estate as its backdrop, Parsonstown can also accommodate filming, photography and location shoots, subject to prior arrangement.

For larger groups and special occasions, The Farmhouse will provide additional dining and gathering space for more than 18 guests — ideal for family gatherings, corporate stays and retreats, wedding rehearsal dinners and pre- or post-wedding celebrations.

It will also provide a beautiful indoor alternative when Ireland's unpredictable weather changes outdoor plans.

The Farmhouse will be available to hire as an optional addition to your stay and is not included in the Main House accommodation rate. Hire can be tailored to how you would like to use the space, with catering, tablescaping, event coordination and other services available separately by prior arrangement.

A flexible space designed to change with the occasion, The Farmhouse will further develop Parsonstown as a place to stay, gather, work, create, celebrate and unwind, all within the surroundings of the 100-acre estate.

Additional House Guidelines & Information

We want you to relax, switch off and enjoy Parsonstown Estate as your home during your stay. As a historic country estate, working farm and home to a number of animals, we simply ask that the house, grounds and animals are treated with care and respect.

Estate Security & Guest Registration
To help us maintain the privacy, safety and security of everyone staying at Parsonstown Estate, we ask that a list of all guests staying at the property, together with vehicle registration numbers, is provided in advance of arrival.

This allows us to identify expected guests and vehicles and helps ensure that uninvited or unexpected visitors do not access the estate during your stay.

For the safety and security of our guests and the property, discreet exterior security cameras are in place at designated areas of the estate.

Shoes Off, Switch Off
With lots of beautiful carpets throughout the house, we kindly ask guests to leave outdoor shoes at the door.
Slippers are provided, or feel free to go barefoot — leave your worries and your shoes at the door and make yourself at home.

Dogs
Dogs are very welcome at Parsonstown and are sure to feel at home among the estate's other four-legged residents.
We simply ask that they are fully house-trained, do not sleep in the bedrooms or on beds, and are kept on a lead at all times when out and about around the estate — dogs and alpacas, we've discovered, don't always share the same love language!
Please collect and bin all dog waste, including along the estate walking trails and grounds.

Golf Buggy
The golf buggy may only be driven by adults aged 18 or over. Please drive carefully, remain on designated routes and do not allow children to operate the buggy.
The buggy has a designated parking area close to its charging point. For stays of a number of days, we simply ask that you plug it in to recharge as required and return it to its designated parking area after use, so it is ready for your next trip around the estate.

Hot Tub
Please shower before entering the hot tub. No glassware is permitted in or around the hot tub area, and we ask that the hot tub guidance provided at the property is followed.

Outdoor Areas
Irish weather can change quickly. If conditions become windy, please lower and secure the outdoor parasols.
During wet weather, we ask that the larger outdoor cushions are placed in the designated storage units around the corner from the last bedroom on the West Wing side.

Estate & Animals
Please respect any private, operational or farm areas marked as restricted.
Children should be supervised around the estate, particularly near animals, water, farm areas and when using outdoor amenities.
Please do not enter animal paddocks or feed the animals unless advised that it is safe to do so by a member of the estate team.

Visitors & Gatherings
Only registered guests may stay overnight at the property.
Any additional visitors, gatherings, celebrations, professional photography, filming or organised activities involving people who are not included in the booking must be agreed with us in advance.

Celebrations & Decorations
We love welcoming guests to Parsonstown for birthdays, anniversaries, pre- and post-wedding stays, wedding rehearsal dinners and other special occasions, and you are very welcome to add your own touches to your celebration.

To help us protect the newly refurbished interiors, we simply ask that banners, balloons, signs or decorations are not taped, pinned, glued or otherwise attached to walls, panelling, doors, furniture or painted surfaces.

If you are planning decorations, flowers or a special set-up, please let us know in advance. We will be happy to advise on suitable areas — or our team can help coordinate catering, flowers, tablescaping and other details as an optional service.

House & Kitchen
Please separate rubbish and place it in the appropriate bins provided. The main bins are located under the arch and outside the Secret Garden door.

Before departure, we would appreciate if the dishwasher could be switched on.
There is no need to strip beds or gather towels before leaving — we'll take care of those for you.

Candles & Fire Safety
Battery-operated candles are provided throughout the house, along with traditional candles for guests to enjoy.

If lighting traditional candles, please never leave them unattended and ensure they are fully extinguished before leaving the room or retiring for the night.

Furniture & Contents
Please do not move large pieces of furniture between rooms or take indoor furniture outdoors without prior agreement.
If anything is accidentally damaged or broken, please let us know as soon as possible.

Damage & Breakages
We do not require a separate refundable damage deposit. We simply ask that guests treat the house, its contents and the wider estate with care and let us know promptly if anything is accidentally damaged or broken during their stay.

Guests are responsible for any loss or damage caused during their stay, and any applicable costs will be handled in accordance with the booking platform's terms and procedures.

Smoking & Vaping
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the house.

Evenings at Parsonstown
We want you to enjoy your evenings and celebrations at the estate. We simply ask guests to be considerate of neighbouring accommodation and the peaceful countryside setting, particularly during the later evening and overnight hours.

Guest access
Guests have full use of Parsonstown Estate House, including the gardens immediately surrounding the house, courtyard, terraces, hot tub and tennis court.

The estate’s woodland trails, river walks and paddocks are shared with all guests staying on the estate and are open to enjoy throughout your stay — a wonderful opportunity to explore the grounds and meet the horses, goats, alpacas and other resident animals.

Parking is available in the residents’ car park beside the courtyard gates, and you are very welcome to unload luggage at the front of the house before parking.

As Parsonstown is a working farm and historic estate, some of the outer buildings and farm areas remain in use. There may also be a small number of guests staying in neighbouring accommodation, while members of our estate team may be onsite from time to time to care for the animals, tend to the gardens, carry out general maintenance or continue the ongoing restoration and refurbishment of the estate as we further develop the Parsonstown experience.

Some of our guests prefer complete privacy and choose to have the estate to themselves. If you would like this option, our two additional one-bedroom self-catering properties, Sundew Cottage and The Gate Lodge, can also be booked alongside the Main House, subject to availability. Booking all three properties allows us to accommodate up to 22 guests across Parsonstown Estate, with all guest accommodation on the estate reserved exclusively for your group.

For larger groups, Devlin’s Cottage, a two-bedroom self-catering home just a two-minute drive from the estate, can also be booked, bringing the total capacity to 26 guests.

You are welcome to check availability for your preferred dates, or get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to help coordinate the different properties for your stay.

Other things to note
If complete exclusivity is important to your group, we may be able to offer exclusive use of the entire estate, including all accommodation and amenities, subject to availability. We'd be happy to discuss this option with you in more detail should it be of interest.
