The modern amenities make you feel right at home. You enjoy wine on the veranda or enjoy a cup of coffee in the back garden. (Keurig coffee maker, coffee, tea, creamer, and sugar are also provided) Everything you need is provided: toiletries, linens, kitchenware, even a full size refrigerator with ice maker.

The space

What is it like to stay at the Riverwood Suites? At Riverwood Suites it isn’t just a room, it’s an experience. Picture it: You drive up to the Historic Baltimore House located in downtown Apalach. At first you think, “Is this the right place?” The rustic exterior may take you by surprise. But as you walk through the iron gate you realize that this is definitely the right place. You go up the stairs and enter your suite. The cool air is a relief from the Florida heat. A cold drink would be great right about now and then you notice the full size refrigerator and a freezer with ice that is all ready for you. It’s been a long trip and the California King bed is calling your name. The rustic chic décor makes you feel right at home, a home you only wish was yours. Before you hit the hay, you grab a glass from the kitchenette and pop open a bottle of red wine. You relax on the veranda and sip your drink while looking out over downtown. You sleep better than you’ve ever slept before and wonder where we got these sheets. The morning comes and you enjoy a freshly brewed cup of joe from the Keurig coffee maker. You relax in the back garden while you wait for your massage and haircut at the on-site Aveda salon. Later you stroll down to the unique shops, restaurants, and nightlife just block or two away. And when your trip has come to its end and you’re packing your bags you think to yourself, “Wow, this was the best vacation I’ve ever had.”

The room is very spacious, and a kitchenette is part of the room with a full sized refrigerator. The AC kept the room cool, and the shutters on the windows kept the room private from guests on the porch outside. Location is perfect. Within walking distance of anything in downtown Apalachicola. Would definitely go again.

Our stay at the Riverwood Suites could not have been better! Monica was great with swift and clear communication, gave great recommendations for places to eat and things to do, and the suite we stayed in was perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway: comfortable, clean, well-equipped. We really enjoyed exploring Apalachicola and the Riverwood Suites was the ideal spot from which to start that exploring!

Lovely refurbished hotel with unique vintage chic type decor. Located in the downtown historic district of Apalachicola enabling us to park our bike and walk everywhere we wanted to go. Many shops and restaurants to see and try. The suite was beautiful and immaculate. Was nice to sit out on the veranda and watch the surrounding area while listening to the music from a local bar in the evening. Absolutely love this town and will be back to visit again.

Moonlight was so beautiful. We found all accommodations to be wonderfully comfortable and cozy. The decor is really well done. The kitchen and bathroom were spotless and very well appointed.

Everything was spotlessly clean and absolutely beautiful. Furniture, bathroom, kitchenette (within the room btw - this was not completely obvious for me from the pictures) just wow!!! Price is rather high though. Apalachicola is a wonderful little town worth exploring (everything within walking distance). We enjoyed a glass of wine on the upstairs porch and later on enjoyed some really cool live music in the bar just down the street. Even though that bar was very close there was no niose issue at all. The live music stopped at 10pm, prob because of that. Thumbs up, would definitely recommend!!!

Very clean and charming! Includes a full-sized refrigerator and freezer, plus microwave and Keurig. Lots of towels provided. Don't let the "funky" exterior fool you; the interior is artsy / quaint / romantic / hip. The veranda is nice, and the back garden is exotically peaceful and private; be sure to check that out! Check-in is super easy. We hope to return soon.

I have lived here in Apalachicola for over 34 years. My husband, William, was born and raised right here in Apalachicola. We raised our two daughters here and now have the joy of being grandparents to four wonderful grandkids. William and I love to travel, especially in Europe…
