The apartment is as central as it gets, across the street from the best barista café in town; Reykjavik Roasters, and the best bakery in town; Organic Braud&Co. Hallgrimskirkja church is at one minutes walking distance, so is the Einar Jonsson museum, the popular restaurant ROK, the oldest swimmingpool in town and the main shopping area. All the most popular bars, clubs and restaurants are in this area, so is the harbour, the parliament, Harpa music hall and countless other monuments.

The space

This area is as central as it gets in Reykjavik, in the middle of the old town. The area is quiet and yet everyting you need is in walking distance; supermarkets, grocery stores, craft stores, night-life, restaurants and tourist attractions. My husband and I live nearby and we can be at any assistance for our guests.

Within a block of the beautiful church which is also where you get tour buses, buses to airport, and wonderful restaurants. So convenient to old town and within walking distance of anything! The kitchen would have been very hard to use, very small and older appliances. But we weren't needing to cook, anyway. Road in front is a bit noisy, also. Helena was so nice to work with. Good directions to things and lots of ideas for things to do in the city.

We enjoyed staying at Helena's flat. The location is right in the middle of the most touristed area so it is convenient for immediately accessing all of Reykjavik's bars, restaurants, and shops. The flat is very cute and very tiny. Moving around with two people is a challenge, but still pleasant thanks to nice interior design. The environment is warm and inviting, from special interior details to a lovely porch and quaint garden. Our complaints were few - the bed is thin foam and somewhat uncomfortable so a word of warning to those with sensitive backs. The kitchen supplies are useful but more of a mish mash of various pots and pans so home cooks will have to get creative. The bathroom is about as small as physically possible because in this lovely little place, every square inch counts! All in all a good place and we recommend you stay!

The apartment is extremely well located to explore Reyjkavik. It is quite small, aside from the beds there is one small table with two chairs. Since we stayed only for two nights we only made breakfast and did no cooking. The bathroom is small, overweight individuals might have difficulties using the toilet. The sink in the bathrom is tiny. The aparment is nicely decorated and one feels welcomed. Helena is a very responsive host and answered every question we had very quickly. She was even so kind and stored our luggage for a week.

Helena's apartment is adorable! Such a fun and unique place and, yes, in the best location. My husband and I were very comfortable there and really enjoyed our stay. Helena was very helpful to us and so easy to coordinate with. I thought of this too late, but for the frugal traveler I would recommend taking advantage of the fridge/kitchen and doing at least a couple breakfasts or lite lunches/dinners in the apartment. In addition to Braud & Co there are some great delis nearby.

We stayed at Helena's place for two nights in order to discover Reykjavik. The cute appartment has everything you need and is very conveniently located, right in the center, so you can walk anywhere. The best coffee in town is literally right across the street, and 50 meters from that there's the best bakery, so breakfast is handled very quickly. Very well reachable by Flybus from the Airport. If we come back to Reykjavik, we will stay there again! Would definetely not recommend for more than two people, it's too small for that.

Helena's place was centrally located, great bakeries and restaurants right on the doorstep! Although small, it was perfect for what we needed as we were put most of the time. The bed was very comfortable so had a great nights sleep!

This place is the perfect little cozy place in the most amazing location. I loved rolling out of bed and grabbing coffee from Reykjavik Roasters then a cinnamon roll from Braud & CO. Helena was very easy to communicate with and we loved our stay!
